Capricorn

When I think of Capricorn I think of the great coverings offered this season! There are a myriad of ways to cover up in the cold and no one wears a coat or one of the new capes like a Cappy! Loving the pulled together look of a great coat of cape, a Capricorn has half their wardrobe done when they finish what goes on top of their looks. I suggest a new coat in the camel color that is so popular this season in either a long length to the knees or a classic pea coat look but in camel. This year’s capes are outstanding and new in all sorts of ways and you can pull this off, Cappy, remembering that a cape looks best with a bit of movement so look for a wool that moves as a fabric choice. You will go a long way to topping your already ready for fall looks if you invest in a new over layer. Prominent buttons and embellishment are great for you if they are done in a sort of conservative way with one eye on the military looks that come down the runway every fall. You can wear this knock-off military look like no other so consider details on your overcoat that have military leanings. Remember, what you wear over it all in the fall is half the battle, Capricorn!

I love the to the mid-thigh to knee dress shorts that are everywhere with matching jackets for daywear for Capricorn in the fact that the new look with black or brown tights is a pulled together one. It’s a nice break from skirts and they look great with the new bootie shoe that is so popular now. You can find oxford looking booties with heels that satisfy the love of the tried and true for you or try the “granny” looking tops on booties to the ankle that fit right to the foot. You can find heels or lower shoes that cover the whole foot but give the idea of a short boot and they look great with the new shorts and short capes and coats. Think in terms of shopping for shoes this season for they will bring on big changes for your whole wardrobe. If you find the right shoe and the right cover up you have a look that works every time and gives the really polished look you crave for work. Your job is your life in many cases so why not treat yourself to the new looks that will last for years because they are “right now?”

I love a Capricorn in a graduated bob or any of the new looks for a bob that come out every year. If you wear your hair long you can still have a bob-like cut that does wonders for pulling you together and you can smooth it easily with a product that does not weigh it down, like “Chi” oil or any of the other oils that don’t threaten to grease up your hair. If you wear a shorter bob you still look great and all there in business without too much muss and fuss. Hair that moves is important right now but a bob is easily taken care of and the blow out can last for days! I love you in a cut instead of the loose curls that other signs pull off because you have such a no nonsense approach to life that puts others at ease because you are so able in what you do. Why not translate that professionalism to your look and pull it together with clothing and hair?

Your face should say, “I’m able,” too, and I love the almost “no makeup” look this fall as you have been reading. For Capricorn I love the look of a matte finish on the face that you can get with a dusting of powder or a base that is matte for more cover up. I think you should consider a bit of peachy blush on your cheeks to soften you up and that is something not all signs should wear. You can do wonders to open your face up to people with a dash of cheek color so keep it light and keep it non-brown for a new look. Try a peach or a very simple pink that does not pop. Finish your look with a dash of mascara and perhaps a brown eyeliner smudged on the top of your upper lashes and you have a finished look that welcomes but keeps you in charge!

Aquarius

Aquarius looks great with a bit of daring so I have some ideas that suit only you. Animal prints are still huge this fall and you can wear them in ways that are unexpected and totally you! Try a bag with a leopard print or a top that mixes animal print with color in patches. You can wear an animal print top with a colored skirt of pant and look great as well. A sweater with a big and bold print looks great on you or a sweater or tunic that has a very distinct graphic, like a star for example rocks your look. The new bucket bags remind me of you when it comes to accessories for you can put all your things in them and still look hip and different. The “rocker girl” look that is large this season is also something you can try even if you aren’t a motorcycle rider! Try the new black leggings with printed tunics and a great new boot that has motorcycle buckles or a pair of knee boots that have buckle details all the way up! I love the idea of you showing all of your boot so try leggings and remember the new leggings are not so tight and are meant to be worn with either shorts or tunics to show your shoe. A pair of boots with details on them screams “Aquarius,” so think about finding your dream pair in either black or brown depending on your wardrobe.

Mixing is where you excel, Aquarius so mix fashion ideas together to create a look that is purely you. You can take all the trends and put them together to get a look that is unique to you and makes people smile which you love to do. Other ideas are the new circle scarves that are knitted circles for around your neck in different colors that can be layered for warmth and look smashing if you wear more than one color. If you are crafty you can make your own circle scarves for they are so simple in nature. A simple circle of knitted yarn in colors like forest green, navy, black or brown these scarves have you written all over them. Again, wear two or even three to accent your neck and keep you cozy.

Shorts with over-the-knee socks are very happening right now so if you can pull that look off don’t be shy, do it! Get your socks online at the many stores that carry specialty socks or look at any department store and they will be carrying over-the-knee socks. You can go for thigh-high socks with the new dress shorts if you are young and young at heart or go for the over-the-knee socks to bring it to a more mature look. Don’t be afraid to go out on a limb when it comes to this look because done well with a sweater over the shorts in a smashing color it looks very professional and is still able to take you to work! There are so many kinds of shorts now for fall that you can find your muse. If you are a distressed jean wearer, consider the distressed jean shorts for fall and pair them with black leggings and boots for a great look. Remember that gold is the new “black,” and you can accent your look with a gold trench or pea coat, for example, and make yourself enlighten those around you.

I love color on an Aquarius’s face because their eyes are so beautiful, so even though the face is barer for this fall think about wearing a smudged eyeliner in a color that shows to set off your eyes. You can wear a plum if you have brown eyes or a blue or green if you have hazel eyes, for example. Don’t be afraid to try navy mascara as well because it gives your eyes definition as well as a bit of color that will be surprisingly wearable if you give it a shot. Eye shadow is not so worn this season but a liner in a great color with just one color over the lid looks new, and you can pick any color you want for your lid and still flatter those great eyes. Pick a light coating for your lips and remember that a bit of frost or shimmer goes a long way to making your lips look plump without all the chemicals. Line the lip and fill in with a gloss or shimmer lipstick or lip product and blend the line into your lip so no line shows to get a very slick look that is natural to the eye. A bit of color on the cheeks makes an Aquarius look welcoming so think about a pink that works for you because most of us blush pink and it’s just a matter of what color pink you blush as to what looks right on you. Don’t be afraid of blush for it is very youthful looking on the face and as we get older it becomes more and more flattering so long as you use a light hand or I should say a light brush or finger tip.

Remember that natural waves are very happening right now so if you have wavy hair as a gift, go ahead and wear it with pride by drying it in the air or using a diffuser to dry your hair and keep the wave in. You can separate your waves and make them more visible by using a product made for curls or waves and using it on your hair when it is still damp to get the most out of it.

Pisces

Pisces, the new long skirt is made for you, or the new long dresses layered underneath a sweet and comfy sweater with a light boot or one that has shearling in it and on it. You look great when you are loose and flowy so think about your fabrics when you look at the new long skirts. Remember that you can buy a long black or forest green skirt that is made of a lighter fabric or use your long skirts from the spring by wearing leggings or tights under and be warm yet flowing still! The long skirts look great with sweaters and layered T.’s so long as you stay in a look that keeps your waist showing if you are wearing it to the office. If you are wearing a long skirt to work consider a cropped sweater over it, and if you do a long sweater try belting it to give yourself a waist and look more polished. Most Pisces don’t like belt cinching them too tight so I like the look of the long skirt with a loose flowing tunic of light wool, for example, to give a sort of glamour that is still casual enough to wear every day. The long skirt is going nowhere soon so you can invest in a few and still be on trend.

If you decide to go for a boot this season remember that you have to have comfy feet to be happy, Pisces, and you don’t want a lot of detail if it weighs the boot down. Light feet are the way to think so go for a thinner leather for your boots to be at your comfort level! Being a Pisces myself, I can’t abide boots that are too thick and not broken in so think about a distressed pair of boots or even shop your thrift stores to see if anyone has broken in a pair for you. Sometimes Pisces feels the energy of that last wearer of an item so remember to avoid that feeling, and avoid bedbugs, freeze your items in the freezer before wearing them or take them to the dry cleaner if it is a coat or a cape to get all the energy and creepy crawlies off it!

When dressing for fall remember that big prints tend to swallow Pisces up and keep your prints small or stick to solid colors that make you feel good when buying tops or sweaters. You are better off with sweaters rather than blouses because of the comfort level so think of that when you shop. Framing the face with a cowl neck or an interesting neck on your sweater is great because Pisces features look great when they are flattered and not drowned out.

Jersey is a fabric that makes Pisces flow so look for separates in jersey or a long dress in a jersey fabric that you can layer over until you feel warm and can remove layers as you warm up. Another way to go is to wear distressed jeans, if you can get away with it at work, with oversized sweaters or layered T.’s. The new distressed jean shorts are great-looking and oh-so-comfy but you must be able to strut this look wherever you go or on weekends and not have a job where you must be well-dressed. I adore a pair of shredded jeans on a Pisces with a dressed up top that is comfortable as an everyday look if you can get away with it! If you can’t, go back to the longer skirts to find your muse.

Pisces looks clownish with massive makeup so don’t go overboard this season with the colors. You have it all in the eyes and have to make them show up so consider using a baby blue liner on your eyes to bring them up and help them show up to others. You would be surprised how great a light liner looks on a Pisces as it softens their eyes yet shows them to the people in a very flattering way. Simply line the eyes with a color and smudge the liner to get a softer effect and you have very nice eyes after you apply your mascara to curled eye lashes. Don’t forget to curl your lashes for the best look for you because often your eyes need a bit of help to come out into the open and do their best for you. A Pisces eye is deep and dreamy but does need a bit of help for it can be “shy” without makeup. Keep your mascara dark brown unless you have darker skin to keep from having harsh eyes and you have a complete eye look.

Base should be kept to a minimum because it just looks better to have some of your natural skin to show even if you have freckles! Nothing looks cuter than a few freckles popping through the base of a Pisces face so don’t drown your skin in a base because you think that’s the thing to do! You can usually skip the blush because, again, you don’t want to appear clownish and makeup can wear a Pisces unless it is kept light. Keep your lips on the natural side with shimmer or gloss that has very little color and mind your colors when it comes to your lips! You don’t want to go pink on your lips if you can help it because it makes Pisces look a bit too demure to wear a light pink on their lips. Think in terms of sheer red for lips or even sheer burgundy to show your lips in their best light and to help yourself be heard when you talk with people.

Hair for Pisces looks great in a new short cut fo fall if you are so inclined because it helps bring out features so if you are in any way leaning toward trying a new shorter cut think of it now and go for choppy layers that look new and don’t look like your grandmother’s layers. A long “boy cut” looks smashing on Pisces as well for it gives a “pixie” look that is flattering to many of you. If your hair is long, consider keeping it off your face a bit with styles that lift it unless you are having one of those days when you want to hide behind your hair! I love bangs on Pisces, especially long bangs to the eyebrows because they are both sexy and cute!
