Cancer

Cancer women are great candidates for the forties dresses that are out in mass this season. Flattering to the new waist and made for the real curves that Cancer women love to show, the new printed dresses are perfect for them! Look for the print that is just this side of your curtains or an apron and you will be in the ball park of the new look that is the forties. You can also wear this new look in pencil skirt and blouse but this is usually not the style a Cancer loves. The full-skirted, belted at the waist dress is the way to go if you are a dress woman as many Cancers are. Look at your thrift stores as well for this look for many of them have these dresses that can be worn again with just a few tweaks.

If you are a person who sews and many Cancers are, you can whip up this sort of dress fairly quickly with a basic pattern and be the best dressed you know! Tights are best when wearing these dresses in the fall, and try a colored tight for colors are in when it comes to tights and patterns. The possibilities are endless when you think of prints and colored tights paired with a low or semi-low pump. If you are a pant person remember that forties blouses are great to find right now and think strong colors and even darts that can be seen on the outside like in the “good ol’ days!”

As for you hair and face, try curling your hair again with rollers and use the largest roller your hair will take to get the hair that looks right this season. If you have the patience to roll your hair for a short time you will find great styles as you play with the curls you have. Remember to use a setting product on your hair when you roll it and to let curls cool before you start playing with them so you don’t lose them. When hair is in curls the more you comb the more you lose so set your hair where you like and use old fashioned hair spray to get the look that is now. If it’s been forever since you’ve used a bottle of hair spray there are great sprays on the market now that you can use and still get your fingers through your hair and that work well on wet hair before you style as well. If using hairspray as a styling agent remember to have hair almost dry before you apply a bit of spray so it sticks to your hair shaft and that rule of “almost dry” goes for about every styling product.

The face is more bare this season but a Cancer without a bit of lipstick and a touch of blush is not really looking very much like herself so stay with those rules and forget about a heavy made-up eye at this time. You can find a blush that is perfect for your coloring and that you can use all over your face for color and couple it with your favorite shade of lipstick for a pulled together look. Line your lips after you apply your lipstick and remember to use a lipstick brush to blend the liner and the lipstick for a polished look.

For a simple way to change out your look, Cancer, you can look for a few new blouses that have details such as ruffles that look new again with your tried and true skirts and pants! There are a huge amount of new looks when it comes to blouses that have these details and even T.’s are rocking ruffles that can frame the Cancer woman’s face in a great way.

Leo

Leo loves to shock a bit and one look I love for the fall is the new short that comes in many varieties of styles from dressed up to dressed down ready to wear with tights for the fall. Try a pair of shorts instead of pants or skirt and wear them with tights and rough edged boots or dressed up with tights and pumps. You can wear these shorts with whatever sweater or blouse you choose and even do them in jean shorts with black tights and look new that way again so long as you layer on top. I love the rough boots that are out and a Leo should have a great pair of stand out boots to pair with whatever they wear. You should keep the heel of your boot in mind because you want them to be your “go to,” shoe for the fall so get the heel in a height you most likely will wear the most. Some shorter women are very comfy in a pair of “way up there,” heels and wear them every day and some women are fond of the flat boot because of comfort. The fact is that boots are everywhere this fall and in every possible price and look. A new pair of boots can define the rest of your wardrobe so I suggest Leo go look for a pair of boots first before they buy the rest of their fall choices.

Embellished T.’s and tops are all the rage through the fall as they have been in the summer and they just have sleeves to take into consideration the weather. Leo looks great with jewelry on their clothing so go ahead and grab that embellished top and pair it with your shorts, skirts or pants for a look that shows off your face and hair as you so love to do! Sequins, stitching, and rhinestones are all choices for your tops and they do so much for a Leo that loves to shine anyway! If you can only do one thing for yourself this season, one thing you can do is buy yourself a few tops that have the jeweled look around the neck to provide you with that bang you so love to have! Try layering your embellished T. or blouse over a print so long as the top has the same colors as what you are pairing it with. To wear the new jeweled pieces on top of a patterned bottom looks new and genius so give it a whirl!

Again, curls are still big for the fall and wearing your hair up is also a look that had a lot of play on the runway. If your hair is worn up remember to make it just perfectly “messy” and a bit loose so you look new and not like the old “updos” of before.

Gold is the new black for this season and no one wears gold like a Leo so think about a gold trench or some kind of gold throw over your shoulders to set off your wardrobe. If you can go shopping for some new clothing look to gold to add to your wardrobe and remember that gold is a neutral so you can wear it with just about anything you already own so it’s a good investment. This interest in gold in the fashion community will likely last and it looks very new at this time. Wearing your gold pieces with black is the most dramatic but remember that if you want to dip your toe into the gold look you can find patterned clothing that has gold as the main color in the piece. You can wear gold in a coat by choosing a toned down gold or go for a raincoat in gold, for example. If you have gold jewelry it’s time to bring it out and rock it with your already warmer clothing.

Virgo

Virgo, no one rocks the perfect patterned frock like you can so try one on and see what you think! You should also go for the new pump if you like pumps and it has a lower heel and a bit more substance to it to go with the big patterns on dresses right now. You look great in a “perfect,” dress with minimal jewelry and just the right amount of makeup so I can see you looking smashing in all the clothing that is “right now!” You want to keep you hems above the knee if you can without feeling undressed and pair your dresses or skirts with the new colored tights. If you are a pants woman then go for the new colored blouses that are made of fabric and not T-shirt cotton. A crisp new blouse looks smashing on you and you also should have the perfect white blouse in your arsenal that can be belted because it is long enough, even to the point of tunic length with shirt tails for interest. Get yourself one or two wide belts to add to the wardrobe you already have and try belting everything you wear to show off your waist and give you an up-to-date look.

Since you already are a natural type woman you can rock the new face very well so think about browns when it comes to new makeup. If you wear a base go ahead and do so but get a light base that lets your freckles show and be a bit more natural as far as coverage. I suggest you look at “Bobbi Brown” colors for your blush or face color or think about a bronzer, yes, even in winter. You can find some great browns that have pink or peach undertones that work well on your cheeks and across the nose and make your face look lovely and alive. Go with one coat of mascara on your eyes and get used to a lighter eye by even lining with brown liner instead of black if you are used to black. A lighter eye and lighter lip are both very “now” and look fresh for a Virgo. Use larger brushes to sweep the color on your cheeks and upward toward your hairline and again, a sweep of color down the nose can look nice.

Your hair can be mid-length and easy to care for if you have a good cut so spend for the cut and remember that the cut is where it is so far as style. If you’ve not changed your haircut in forever, now is the time to discuss it with your stylist and get some ideas you can use for a new look. You want your hair to work for you so tell you stylist what kind of lifestyle you lead and how much work you want to put into your hair every morning and go from there. The point is to find a way to have some waves if you can without having to do a lot of work to get them. You can use a curling iron or rollers and a bit of product as I outlined for Cancer and you can get those Virgo curls I love on you so much! Straight, straight hair is “out,” unless you come by it naturally or are married to the look so look for a new look that works well for you.

Capes are big for the season and you might like to get yourself one to update your whole wardrobe in one sweep! When you consider a new cape, or coat for that matter, think outside the box. Your cape can be colored and still have the neutral look you need for all you clothing. Again, gold is a great choice for a cape because it is neutral and you can wear it with everything and still match. The look of wearing all one color is back as well this season so if you choose, you can wear one color from head to toe and look new now. A black cape is dramatic and has unlimited uses but could be too harsh for you if you are into color. Most Virgos like color and so I’d recommend you look for a new coat or cape that is camel, brown, deep forest green or even navy!
