When I was 23 I lived in a crappy little rental house with my then boyfriend. He was also a Libra in case you were wondering. Yes, we were two little Libras happily co-habitating until his mother came to visit. Don’t get me wrong, she was an awesome lady. We got along smashingly at first. It was the day she noticed someone left a light on in the closet and discovered our makeshift grow room that everything changed. So that’s what that smell was! We only had eight plants but I guess that was enough to boggle the mind of a little 65 year old Chinese lady. She went berserk. At first she blamed me, then she blamed the town we lived in, then she blamed rap music. I should mention this was not the first time that her son had attempted to grow marijuana, he was what you would call a hobby horticulturalist.

The Moon in Gemini catches strong support from planets in Libra throughout it’s two day stay in the sign which culminates when it forms a grand trine on Thursday involving Venus, Mars, and Neptune.
This is pretty sweet so get out there an socialize.
The only thing to warn about is Sun and Mercury in Virgo which do clash with Gemini. To avoid problems, try to opt away from harsh criticism of yourself and/or others and you should have few problems.

In my case, Mars is conjunct Mercury in the 9th house so I will fight for my freedom, and particularly freedom of speech. I will also fight for my beliefs and my intellectual freedom in general.

Today’s Tarot is the Nine of Swords (Air). Here, the center sword hangs menacingly positioned over her neck, while ghostly hands hover just above her. I certainly couldn’t sleep under those conditions! And it’s true, I’ll see this card when someone is having trouble sleeping or problems with nightmares. Many times, this is someone is carrying a secret burden, overwhelmed and alone. Swords are cutting, so they tend to show up in contexts where there is pain, or danger of hurt. Astrologically, this card is associated with Mars in Gemini. The sword cuts both ways.

I have ten and thirteen year old girls, so I know who Justin Bieber is. I’ve also heard comments about Bieber and his popularity from my adult peers. Most of those comments fall into the category of disdain for what is popular and mainstream but some veer into an intensity that is surprising. It reminds me of the Barney bashing (purple dinosaur) that went on among adults when my oldest was little. You’re past adolescence and abhor Justin Bieber? I’m SHOCKED. Grow up, it’s not meant for you.

Aries loves the “on the move” wardrobe that allows for fast action and the ability to get up and go with a moment’s notice. I love this style and often think that Aries can make a small amount of effort and update themselves in a very real way that can make their lives even more lively and colorful. The fact that jeans go everywhere is fast changing and slacks or jeans with flared legs are taking over in a big way. Soon we will not be able to ignore the fact that the low cut jean has had its day and we must move on! The changes that will stay are the fact that pants will always hit below the waist for the most part because once we are more comfortable we aren’t likely to go backwards. However, the waist is “in” in a big way and that fact isn’t going to change anytime soon! Update your look by belting your waist when you wear even jeans and a T., for example.

I was talking to a friend who said he felt people created their feelings at least to an extent. For example, say you have a friend who recently broke up with a partner. You’re all at a party and this person starts talking about their ex. “Oh, I miss him…” she says. “Oh, I feel so bad…”
Once a person started up with this, next thing you know they’re feeling it. They’re completely depressed or bereft.
Most people have enough bad feelings as it is. And it’s one thing to opt not to feed them when they come, but perhaps even smarter to not create them in the first place.
“I’m going to a party tonight and I’m not going to bring up my ex, even once…”

Astrology Meets Tarot
Nobody can tell me Tarot doesn’t have a sense of humor. I talk about how much I love the Death card from Shadowscapes, and naturally, it’s the card I ended up with today. No surprise, although it still made me smile. But it only came out because it had something to say.
Death, XIII of the major arcana, is obviously Pluto’s dominion. This is a lovely Phoenix, not as scary as many Death cards. But no matter how pretty I prefer to spin it, it’s still Death. It’s necessary and natural, but not especially easy.
