Done Like Dinner – Fine!

July 29th, 2010 @ 6:43 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

Today I told someone I was done with something, that I’d had enough. She nodded and then later outlined a scenario where I would be looped back in.

“No, I’m done. Done. Done, like dinner – fini!”

Her jaw dropped slightly.

“Yes, done.  Er… I am done and that means for the rest of my life,” I said, with my face a blank stare.

I always knew how to cut my losses in a card game but 20 years ago I went to therapy and learned how to cut my losses in relationship. Best money I ever spent.

This is your Venus, Saturn, Pluto tip from the goat.

Do you make moves that cut your losses?

yes, absolutely. when it’s done, it’s done. i’ve got tons of mutable, so i can bend this way and that, gladly. but when my fixed moon is fed up . . .

daisy, actually no. Well in some broad way, yes. Those skeletons are just beginning to emerge (for all). This is going to be one hell of a month.

Well….. pretty much like Jilly…. depends on how long / how much effort / if I’m willing to continue putting energy into it.

yes – there is always that decisive moment – ‘done’ – often a relief, because i can move forward with less fear, sometimes fearless with the energy of knowing the truth for myself

In almost all instances, yes, I can cut my losses.
There’s one notable scenario where I still can’t cut my losses and it plagues me constantly, so I cut and decide I’m done, get drawn back in, cut again, loop de loop de loop. With this particular person, though, I’ve had notoriously leaky boundaries (IMO) so no big shocker, really. *deep breath*

Way past time to find the scissors, man.

Thank god(?) I listened to my inner voice when I heard “travel overseas NOW not next month!” Helped by a Sag rising I quickly booked a ticket 3 days ago and so flying off for 3 weeks. Hopefully by next Tues flaming old skeletons won’t have fully resurrected. But I awoke this morning, (AES time) with a feeling in my bones that they are beginning to stir!

Mars in Libra too. Everything is always up for grabs, balancing to the inth! Getting so tired of this and myself of balancing. When and where does the real Mars in me come out to fight the real battle? Oh yeah, skeletons, shhhh, don’t come out.

cutting my losses, a resurrection from the grave? Wow this is going to be even crazier than usual this month huh!

Going to need a dose of COURAGE!… or maybe this is a good slap in the face that we all need… LOL :)

BRING IT ON!!!

Yes… going through a lot of this year. Whatever has been acceptable in the past is a no go this year. My final decisions have left a lot of people reeling… but I always see a sign shortly after that lets me know I am making the right decisions for the 1st time in my life. Saturn in Libra is no joke for me… but I’m slowly learning how to make it work in a positive and constructive way … the art of walking away I what I like to call it

..learned how to cut my losses in relationships.”
That goes for friendships which aren’t working and general other human annoyances.

Absolutely yes.
There was one exception there, where getting looped back was due to trying, hoping, pretending that blood and family are the same.
They are not. I blame Neptune eh.

yes, grrr, going through the same thing with family ties and cutting the brittle ones.

with my natal Saturn in 4th/Cancer weighing things down, not easy to let go though

makes me sad, but i do feel some relief from having finally made the decision

(I like you dearly &) I mangle any language I use, sometimes even on purpose, so please take this as a companionable/friendly remark… please.

If, in French, YOU are done with something – and, hey, I for one loved that you used a French term – in that instance you were “finie” (female usage).

For myself, I struggle always with how to pronounce words with silent G, in Italian (e.g. Foglia, name of a Québec columnist, as well as line in some designer’s line – beautiful, by the way) so they’re still comprehensible to non-Italian ears.

One of the awesome features of the French language is how it facilitates appreciation of whichever gender, by those word-endings.

:) to all of us, & especially to you, host of this amazing blog,
Poppy

PS

Yup. Libra-AC over-riding in my post.

I REALLY appreciate ElsaElsa. And I hope, if I post, that some of those posts prove useful to someone. (Otherwise, I’d simply read.)

PS. If, Elsa chose, purposely to use the masculine (and, by the way, in a mixed-gender group, that’s the usual form)… then… Go, Elsa. :)
