Tips For Saturn In Libra: Learning About Balance, Oppositions And Getting Along
Related – 1 minute astrology video: I Hate Scorpios, Aquarians and Some Other Lousy Signs Too
When people first get into astrology they make statements like, “I hate Virgos” or “I love Sagittarians”. Invariably they run into a Virgo they like and a Sagittarian they don’t like and this resolves itself.
If they continue to study and watch their life unfold, it become apparent we all carry and contain the energy of the signs and planets. I may have a packed 8th house but I am detached about something as I have Uranus in my chart somewhere, and Aquarius ruling one my houses.
In reality, I am detached about a lot of things, I just don’t advertise it. I don’t put it in my press kit just like someone who hates Virgo may tend to devalue mental process… even though their ability to make such a statement is Mercurial.
If you go beyond this point you begin to realize the sign opposite your own holds keys that are important to your own development but with Saturn in Libra, some are going to find themselves very desperately seeking instruction from the person on the other side of the fence.
As an example, I have a reputation for being effective. Mars (Aries) is coarse and off-putting to a certain segment (Libra). But when Saturn hits their sign if they happen to be weighted towards appeasing everyone, they are going to be scrambling for someone to teach them the exact skills they’ve denounced, perhaps for years or even a lifetime.
Libra, coming up against a real threat, will want to learn to fight and win, while Aries will be pressured to find out just what manners, partnering an reciprocity can to for them. This pattern will be consistent through the signs. Taurus seeks Scorpio and Scorpio seeks Taurus and so forth.
Now if you have bad-mouthed your opposite sign, this process will be humbling (Saturn) but if you have valued people who oppose you and built relationships with them, these bonds will super valuable in this period.
What signs are emphasized in your chart and what could you learn from the sign opposite?

I have a lot of Virgo – so I have much to learn from Pisces. I don’t know any.
I always hear bad things about Pisces – flaky, day-dreamers etc. But it sounds like a more carefree and adaptable way through life might be a nice thing
my Libra sun has a lot of great Aries sun pals- and my Scorp stellium attracts the Cancers like a magnet. I dig my opposite, always try to notice whatever it is I ‘notice’ about them. Their ability to JUST DO IT! (Aries), or their ability to dig in and see it through (Taurus). But when it comes to fabulous friends, they always seem to have Venus in Leo- or Leo Sun. I get such a kick out of these people. Never a dull moment! Always fabulous!
That’s the beauty of my chart. I have Taurus, my Sun, and I have Scorpio, my Moon and Rising! And almost all the rest of my planets are in Libra and Aries
Talk about opposites, phew!
I wholeheartedly agree to you Elsa. Never say that you dislike your opposite sign – you’ll end up needing these exact qualities to make your life work!
My first reply was eaten…
I just said that that’s the beauty of my chart. I am all oppositions – Taurus and Scorpio, Libra and Aries… gheesh, you can’t have any more of them, I guess. Anyway, I really agree – never say you dislike your opposite sign, as you’ll be needing these exact qualities to make your life work. Because they’ll be teaching you something about your weaknesses!
This is definately encouraging me to learn about those signs I’ve tended to overlook, since I have no planets in them… more to learn…
I have an emphasis on Taurus, and thankfully a lot of Scorpios on my side in life. Seriously, life would be so dismal for me without them-
They’re cool, aren’t they, chrispito?
I have oppositions in my chart, too. I could learn a lot from Sagittarians about loosening up about philosophy and seeing the bigger picture (Saturn in Sagittarius).
I have taurus-scorpio, leo-aquarius, and 7 planets in aries
virgos HATE ME¡¡ hahahaaa
.
.
I have grand cross cosmic, i was slave, uranus and my mother disappear everything.
My opposite sign is Libra – home to my moon..I’ve learned to embrace the balance and not run rough-shod over other people. That took place in my early 30′s and I hope it has made me a better person.
I think it has saved me a lot of headache and heartache in certain cases…
ah, I so perceive the zodiac as 6 pairs of signs! probly cuz I have libra rising. It’s true, in my first, great consult with Elsa recently she pointed out a couple of skills I had no inkling I had. Really?! So I’m chewing on this info and tossing it around. “why not, why not me being good at this and that?” Feels a bit daunting as on a first day of school, but exciting too.
Happy Saturn ingress everyone!
Oh and personally the sign that lights up my 12th is the annoying one, nagging me about my unconscious behaviors — unless they are proficient counselors or simply mature, considerate people, in which case they’re the exception to that sign.
I just realised while reading this that the sign opposite mine is also where my North Node is. And Libra is the midpoint of the two. Hmmm. Next couple of years should be interesting.
I’ve always liked Cancerians, they call out the value for my nurturing, sensitive side, and remind me that the authoritative frequency that comes so easily is not always appropriate.
Happy Saturn ingress for you grrr
Thank you ¡
(Just caught this.)
Scorpio Moon Girl: That’s the beauty of my chart. I have Taurus, my Sun, and I have Scorpio, my Moon and Rising! And almost all the rest of my planets are in Libra and Aries
Talk about opposites, phew!
Whoa! My opposite! I’ve got Scorpio Sun and Rising, plus Taurus moon, Venus in Libra and Saturn in Aries. Hi opposite!
Weird!

Scorpio Moon Girl and Max… the beginning of a long friendship?! : )

Put a smiley after that, like this.
Sorry if I wasn’t clear, Elsa (see, Saturn in Libra works I guess). What exactly do you mean by ‘the original man on this blog’? Caveman? Have I failed to evolve?
Grrr: Scorpio Moon Girl and Max… the beginning of a long friendship?! : )
Hi, Grrr! I personally am simply fascinated to come across people that astrology says should be just like me. It’s only happened once or twice. Nothing came out of it, of course, probably because Scorpios tend to wary of themselves!

max – someone remarked to me the other day, we have men around here now. MEN rather than wolves in the hen house, or women pretending to be men and the like so that is where that came from.
After I wrote it, I remember Marc used to be around in the early days too. He was another one.
I probably should not have said anything, I’m sorry. But this is the train of thought.
Men, I like them!
Elsa: I probably should not have said anything, I’m sorry. But this is the train of thought.
PBBBTHHH. It’s fine, I just got confused.
MEN rather than wolves in the hen house
Well, I’m going to accept the implied compliment but say that you are talking about gentleMEN and I will say that I try to be a gentlemen in life. I hope I have succeeded over the years.

With lots of Libra in my chart, I value Aries-related things and people, but I don’t have relationships with many Arieses, (Arians sounds wrong). I’ve also been lax on Aries related things in my life. Hmm. It sounds like I say I value Aries, but my actions don’t show it.
