wheel-tenThe big Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn is coming quick, and I aim to make the best of whatever I’ve got to work with. With such a potent sky, best pay attention. I pulled a card for perspective on how to make best of this cosmic event.

The Wheel spun in. I often think of this as the “Full Circle” card. There’s such a sense of totality. The zodiac spans the wheel, and all the elements are again represented, one for each point to form a sort of elemental compass—echoed again in the backdrop imagery. Jupiter is prominent in the sky, broadcasting expansion and luck.

The eclipse is happening in my fifth house—creation and play feed my soul, but sometimes I inadvertently diet. I have too much Virgo. If something isn’t “work,” I have trouble justifying the time systematically. If it’s my needs or someone else’s, I opt for someone else’s 80% of the time. This costs both me and others in terms of what I have left over to contribute. But I still struggle reconciling the intellectual understanding of the concept with everyday practice.

Focused work with Tarot–the daily discipline of connecting with the wisdom, symbolism and philosophy of Tarot archetypes—is enormously grounding for me. It provides me a constant realignment with my internal compass, delivering perspective, cautions, reminders and confirmation. I have a Saturn-flavored moon. Working from the heart is a very satisfying way to express that energy.

The word that’s been repeatedly hitting my field of vision is integrity. Integrity of intention, of action, of partnership, of focus. Like the fool, sometimes I’m climbing or reaching, sometimes I’m barely hanging on. I don’t always meet my own lofty intentions. But always, looking for more balance helps me gain equilibrium and enjoy some of that luck the Wheel has on tap.

The Wheel encourages me that I’m getting better at incorporating all the elemental energies in my life, allowing me to live more purely, with more integrity—this is exactly where I want to be. I’m not afraid of the Eclipse. I’m excited to see where all that power propels.

Are you worried about the eclipse or excited? Or some of both?

I can’t be worried about the eclipse because my main goal as of late is to remain calm. I am taking a “wait and see” approach, and will try to have a normal Saturday as possible tomorrow.

I am a little excited to see how this will affect the rest of the world – bad things are happening, but it feels to me like this is the process that needs to occur to correct everything that has gone so out of kilter.

I always loved the Wheel of Fortune card! The one you have pictured is particularly beautiful. Good luck and God Bless to all of us to get through these big, big changes!

Wow! What a great card for the eclipse and the grand cross energy.

The Moon & Pluto are in my second house. Hopefully it will shake loose some new fertile ideas for improving personal income.

Love your daily Tarot cards, Dixie, and your whimsical, common sense approach. :D

Yeah, Dixie, I’m still thinking “support group”. hah.

This is a great card, and a fantastic reminder of what we can do if we stay centered and focused. I am so glad you started doing these daily.

I’m watching your thread as it goes along, and I have to say, you may consider yourself ‘weird’ or ‘freaky’ ( I don’t ), but maybe that’s what it takes to consistently tune in to the collective the way you seem to do. “Full circle” sounds about right for this eclipse, if one has to sum it up in a short phrase; but you eloquently lay it out in just enough words, for others to contemplate. You’re a great addition to the blog, Dixie; thanks for your insights !

checking in here. keywords for me lately have been surrounding and surrender. funny how circularity and centeredness fits in with those. eclipse falls in my 3rd house, so surroundings and close communications featured maybe? interesting because we moved about 6 months ago, and I’ve felt a bit lonely here. maybe get to know some neighbors : )

I am also so glad you are doing these daily, it’s a wonderful feature of my morning now, to check in and take a look along with everybody else

How can you tell where the eclipse will fall in your chart? Is it dependent upon where Capricorn is?

It falls in my 5th as well. Not sure what that will bring, exactly? My natal Jupiter is also in my 5th. Will I be lucky in romance, or lucky in creativity? Hmm…will be interesting to see how it all develops.

Vicki, yeah it will be with Capricorn. You can get an extended chart selection at Astro.com to see the exact placement.

Reiki, you are kind. :-)

Thank you all for the comments. I’ve been enjoying doing these pieces very much, and the discussion is a big part of why. <3
