Back on my story about, TV, what I wanted to say is because access was so limited when I was a kid, some of the things I saw on TV had enormous impact.  I just had very strong reactions to what I saw on that screen because it was contact with a larger world.

My family moved to the desert when I was 6 and at that point I became very isolated. We did go to school but we were not allowed to have anyone over and I was not allowed to go visit anyone either.

Annalisa did visit people as her circumstance was different than mine and you can see the differences in our personalities today (I imagine).  Annalisa has a mutable grand cross so she did get around. She was allowed to visit people and participate in sports and stuff where I was not.

When Annalisa and I were Low People In High Places, visiting the bank with, Henry, there was a TV but I don’t recall seeing anything special. I was more taken with the coke we got to drink, in the glass glasses with ice in them, coasters beneath to catch the beads of water running down the sides. I’d never seen anything like that before and I was captivated for some reason.  They had air conditioning there as well and between the cold air and the cold glass… well I didn’t really care about some ol’ Dudley Do-Right on the TV, though Annalisa may have. She’d have picked what we watched, see, because we were the only people in the bank’s TV room and she was the oldest.

I was taken by the Wide World Of Sports though, which is what prompted me to write this.  When I saw this on TV, I thought I’d die:

Now THAT was thrilling. And when I saw that on TV when I was a girl in the desert, my heart soared because that right there, is life.

To be continued.

I don’t mean to offend you by asking this, so if I have I apologize in advance. I’m truly curious. How were your circumstances different? I’m wondering because I thought since you were from the same family, your circumstances were pretty much the same…

brizo, she was allowed to visit people and play sports and I was not.

Outside of that, our circumstances were the same or very similar in a number of ways. She is 2 years older but we were a year apart in school because I skipped a grade. They tried to skip her too but she was frightened.

We have the same parents, went to the same school, our rising signs are 1 degree off each other, we both have the family Jupiter flavored Moon and Mars Mercury sig in our chart.

We both have Neptune conjunct the MC and a strong Saturn Neptune sig in general.

Something else occurred to me – life (astrology) is so strange. Annalisa went to class (and socialized). I was taken out of class and worked in the office for 1/2 the day during 4th, 5th and 6th grade all year long and has other tasks assigned as well that completely isolated me from other kids.

You see, it was amazing, the consistency of my experience.

Consequently I don’t know what you learned in 4th grade, etc. because I wasn’t there and if you assume I was, well you’re wrong.

That might have played into your strong work ethic too. In a way, you’ve always worked, you just weren’t being paid right then…

Isn’t Annalisa a pisces? If so it probably would have been harmful to have isolated her, pisces are kind of in their own world as it is…

So I take it when you got to school you both were really ahead of the curriculum. I had that happen in High School, coming from parochial school. There I was an average student, but the other kids thought I was a brainiac in high school. It took a bit of getting used to.

brizo, I was born into service. There is no other way.
And yes, Annalisa is a Pisces with Moon conjunct Jupiter in Sadge so she was definitely getting around.

I loved Wide World of Sports! That was a big part of Saturday afternoons, if there was nothing else to do… Kind of like ESPN (but better) all in one show :)
