Transit Watch: Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn: June 26, 2010

June 17th, 2010 @ 6:06 am by Elsa

My eye on the sky

A lot of people are afraid of this eclipse and while this is understandable, I don’t think there is real cause for concern.

It is dramatic with the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto involved but we are talking about a hard core grand cross here which inherently provides checks and balances.

In this case, all four points are formidable. I don’t agree with astrologers who believe Pluto trumps Mercury for example so what that means is all 4 corners hold their own.

Is this a meeting of the Gods? Most definitely.

Is this bad? Not that I can see.

It is more like a puzzle with most the pieces filled in.

My recommendation is you look at the thing like you do the sky, lit up on the 4th of July as things are rarely this boldly drawn.

I have to admit I’m concerned about it because my asc is involved, as it has been with the grand cross and I’m gun shy now.

For what it is worth, I don’t think it is going to be anything “new”, Jilly and you are well and woken up to everything “old”.

My angles are also involved. I can’t but look forward a change: my back wheels they are spinning like the photo in that other blog entry!

I love water workouts! I used to do deep water running when my legs were ruined (pre-surgery). Hopefully you can treat yourself to a sauna afterwards.

Oh water workouts sound awesome.

As I’ve said a couple times before …. “And the hits just keep on comin’”

I like the double meaning of hits. Seems to fit right in with this whole cross.

Thanks for the positive spin on the grand cross Elsa. In my experience people with natal grand crosses are incredibly strong, centered people (they have to be).

I’m happy with the sky right now.

Sonia, nice to hear that. :)
Not that I mind hearing about angst, I have some of my own but still, really nice to hear that. :)

Sheesh I’m still learning to read my chart but I have A LOT of activity that day in my first house,, my ASC aspects all 7 planets mentioned! I haven’t had Saturn return yet but since my birthday a few weeks ago I feel I’ve changed in great and positive ways… reading about these planets in relation to my Asc makes me feel confident about the changes I am seeing within myself and that others see it almost the same way I do. The moon and Pluto conjunct my Asc while the Sun and mercury oppose it and I feel I’m learning to master the ebb and flow of being assertive, maintaining significant relationships and reaching out to others. In addition Jupiter Saturn and Uranus all trine my Asc and again I feel I’ve gracefully accepted all the changes that are occurring and am finally becoming the person I’ve wanted to be for a long time… I would of never came to these realizations on my own nor would I have had the courage to do it without reading this blog!!

~Sonia I’m glad to see I’m not the only one benefiting from these cosmic events!!

@christpito

It’s conjunct my pluto/moon conjunction too, so I’m not really sure what to expect, honestly. A full moon conjuct an already grating and tense time with my pluto/moon conj. UGH. I’m barely keeping it together. Actually, it’s exploding and then i’m putting it back together and then it’s exploding again endlessly like sisyphus. I’m tired.
I’m approaching it like this: Strap in securely, arms inside the ride, do not exit until the vehicle until it has stopped moving.

The positive spin is nice news, actually.

:)

We can learn to turn fear or anxiety into a mix of healthy caution with a good dose of confidence in the Higher Powers of Goodness. It’s easy and it works pretty well.

I wonder if grand crosses are more structured stable times after all. Like you put it Elsa there are checks provided everywhere in the sky, and I agree Pluto need not trump mercury. I feel that there is an inherent locked in feeling, a hard to move if other things don’t change feeling about a grand cross but it doesn’t have to mean chaos if things are going smoothly I suppose…

Like Sonia say, I imagine that people with Natal grand crosses are incredibly centered people.

What about relationship charts that show grand crosses, in your experience would you say they show more durability?

ariesgal, I could list a thousands instances where Mercury (easily and readily) thwarts Pluto. :)

On the composite grand cross, my husband and I have one and if you search the blog, I have written about it and some of the manifestations over the years. :)

I get the feeling this grand cross will be challenging but only from the perspective that everything individuals and the world in general have been dealing with and if open minded, learning from and healing is about to be sort of amped up and all that is being asked is to find the courage to be the best each of us can be and make the changes we now know are needed in the most positive way we are able. Just my take and i do hope Im right on this one because no one needs to fear it, we all have the tools we need now to lead by example and its thanks to folks like you Elsa who have encouraged that honesty and individuality, so heartfelt thanks =)

yes eclipse is hitting my tr. pluto/moon conjunction in the 7th house… everytime pluto hit my moon back and forth, almost like clockwork someone suddenly broke up with me without warning, my father died, etc. the list goes on… people powertripped, behaved poorly, etc. I just rode with the energy and got very, very creative, working around the clock.. so spend time with the folks that are the good ones in your life, and spend time on the things that mean the most.

I am a Capricorn with Sun in the 4th house. This Full moon will be hitting my 4th house. I am in the middle of a break up and a big step was taken during the new moon on the 12th. I suspect that this weekend will bring the culmination of this break up! Or could something unexpected happen? Is that my wishful thinking? Or am I am truly letting go? Thanks Elsa!!

Elsa – love your interpretation of this event. I agree this is not a time to be afraid but it is an extraordinary time to make intentions for the the immediate issues in your life, intentions for the rest of your life, and why not make intentions for a better world at the same time. I think the planetary frequencies will feed what we are thinking…so it might as well be positive! I find it fascinating that politically, the G8/20 summits are meeting in Toronto today/tomorrow. THey must have had a chart done in picking the dates!

All the best,

Carolyn Winter

I was so fearful of this eclipse hitting my moon. Actually, I feel invigorated despite all the changes at work, but the eclipse has hit my husband”s Cancer stellium in the 11th house, and since eclipses tend to obscure everything for a while…??? I suggested he update his resume…

Sun, Moon, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto. On the night of the Eclipse, things really threw into high gear for me, and thanks to both Elsa and Nota for giving me feedback and insights that helped me refine my gut feeling that this one was B.I.G. for me, and for mine.

The days following have been intense, and things have been evolving, including my attitudes. When I’m not processing or gettin’ down to business, I’m sleeping (more processing). I feel like I have had insights like none in recent memory. One of the big things I learned was to strive for consistency. This, by the way, I owe thanks to the Soldier for, via Elsa. I have started to consider this: At what do I want to be consistent? That question is similar to- what are my VALUES? What do I WANT? What do I think is GOOD? I certainly don’t believe in defensiveness as a lifestyle. Neither assertiveness/aggression (Neither one). I lived that way for years to try to consolidate my position and survive. Sometimes, one is at war. Ask any experienced soldier. But then, there is peace, and some of us, thankfully, can manage to readjust, as needed. I hope I can be one of those. I am beginning to experiment.
