My Hope For Changes In Society With The Influx Of Planets Into Aries

Astrology in real life

aries estee lauder compactI had a very frustrating conversation with a gal last week, this was in my personal life having nothing to do with my blog. She’s young and not that bright I am sorry to say. I have been waiting for her to figure things out for the better part of a year and this is starting to occur mostly because I am so forceful.

By that I mean if I did not consistently confront her and challenge her, I don’t think she would have grown at all. I’m sorry for how that sounds but that’s a fact. I am sure the universe threw us together for reason and I don’t take this stuff lately. I paid close attention to how things are moving along.  I pay attention to signs and in this situation it’s been clear to me that I’m to keep up the pressure.

As of last week the girl is beginning to see to her horror that I am right and I am sure that this is humbling and painful. The thing about it is being right or being able to fathom what is happening in a situation is that it does not mean there is an effective way of resolving the problem. I may be able to define the problem and she is on the verge of being able to define the problem herself but this is not going to get anyone anywhere and this is my frustration.

We have become a very ineffectual society and it drives me crazy. I like to solve problems rather than throw my hands up in the air about how impossible it all is.  With Mars conjunct Mercury in my chart this is a no-brainer. I am driven to find effective and efficient solutions and I just don’t have the capacity or patience to wander around as if I am helpless.

I do think we have become ridiculously mushy and squishy and confused and it is my great hope that we can begin to be effective in our lives discarding ideologies that just don’t work.

In this specific situation this gal outlined the wall she’d come up against in trying to resolve the situation or actually improve it.  I told her I ran into the same wall some years ago and knew of its existence but what is missing here is any option to move the wall.

“There is nothing I can do,” she said.

“I understand. At what point do we stand and say that this is not working… that it is never going to work and we best tear this wall down so that we can actually be effective?  Because this is going somewhere very bad as I think you are starting to realize.”

I just don’t know how long we can continue to be so failing impotent.

Who can relate?

Oh, I can relate times ten thousand. Inaction, inertia, ineffectivity – they have so plagued so much of what’s going on, or rather, what’s NOT going on. Hate it. I have read some conjecture that Neptune in Aquarius is at major fault in this, with the more negative aspects of Neptune (dreaminess, lack of focus, general wishy-washy kinda stuff) bogging down society/humanity, i.e. Aquarius. I believe it; and I am so on board with hoping the Aries kick-in-the-pants influence can start to turn things around!

I do really love to solve problems. I do not find many people to be oriented this way. I don’t know why.

I have opinions on this, I’m just not sure how to get them out. I think it depends upon your relationship with someone – whether it’s familial or just friendly as far as pushing goes.

Sometimes, people just need to fail. They need to be ineffective and they need to hit the “rock bottom – you fucked up” stuff to understand what to do in the FUTURE. They don’t really grasp the situation until the gravity of their screw up is in their face.

I speak from experience. Man, I was 25 years old before I got that you have to look where you’re going and not just have your head in the clouds all the time with “…but this is what I WANT, why is the world not following suit!?” garbage. If you want it, you have to go AFTER it and not wait for it to come to you. If you’ve got shit, you’ve got to handle it before it gets out of hand and starts running down your leg, you know?

As you say – why smash your head against the wall when you can move the god damned thing? VERY Frustrating to those that are watching.

Thank god growing older has helped me learn the value of fixing problems and moving past them, rather than fixing the damage after it’s done.

Gotcha, luci and agree. I am talking more about society at large. We are failing profoundly in almost every area and I feel like Mars energy is what is lacking.

I agree Elsa – except us Mars types suggest plans of action to remedy the situation and are met with “Oh no, that won’t work” or “Someone’s feelings are going to be hurt” or…*throws hands in the air*

Sometimes just “cut bait and run” has to happen or giving up on whatever it is and finding new ground. I guess if I see that a situation is not working, my Fire says torch it and get on with the next thing….

Maybe some folks don’t want an in-your-face, straight-forward way of dealing with a situation..?

Agree, AriesSun and this is what I am hoping changes. For the record, I think it will know I’m not at all confident people don’t like the way that comes about. Much better to get your own Mars going to have somebody or something come around to do it for you.

This is a situation where the Pisces veil will drop and anyone with strong Neptune sig (like me) can tell you that it is a horror when this happens.

if mars = willpower, I agree.

Hmm just noticed that mars is an anagram for “rams.”

@luci — I’ve heard it said before that folks start developing solid, common sense between ages 25 and 30, so it sounds like your growth was right on target. It’s a lot more comforting than just banging along, otherwise !

I have this little ditty I recite when I see someone being ineffectual at the worst time possible :

” When in crisis, when in doubt,
throw your hands up, scream and shout !”

Only because I find it frustrating to see people going along blindly, and ill-prepared to deal with the consequences. I saw this a lot in south FL, where residents (like me, formerly) go through periods of time; where major hurricanes come in succession. These are the ones who don’t prepare when the warnings are issued, then they want the government and private sector to send aid A.S.A.P., after the fact. I have a pretty good idea that they spend the majority of their lives in the same mode of operation; but it’s good to be a detached observer who’s got their shit together, and not wallowing in the mess with them !

I think that when the Pisces veil drops, some folks are going to say “see? What took you so long to accept it?….”
Yup, shakin’ things up alright…

When is the Pisces veil going to drop?

I would say that it’s dropping now and has been. People have different capacities when it comes to maintaining their denial but as a collective most have set down the illusion that we as a collective can do away with all aggression and war and problems via some magic method.

I sure hope the Jupiter/Uranus in Aries will help give more focus and direction so that we can be more effective and productive collectively.
Like many of you, I had being driven to anger and power struggle with wishy washy people who instead of approaching the issues from a problem solution angle chose to waste all their effort and my time on whinning, rationalizing, daydreaming, and playing victim.

We certainly have plenty of challenges to tackle asa result of Pisces/Neptune overdose in the past few years (pun intended). As an Aries Sun, I welcome the refreshing and bold Aries energy with open arms and enthusiasm! :)

My opinion is: solving problem depends on how powerful is the opposition, whether the problem concerns a personal life or the society. Society of the whole world sucks but there is no way for an individual to change it. In my youth I fought for human rights in a corrupted country. Not for myself but for my countryman. Although the country had been freed 20 years ago, people have not changed very much, as I found out recently during my long visit. But the feeling of machine guns aiming at me has been on the surface of my mind ever since. And the feeling of being a foreigner, wherever you live, is not pleasant either. What I am trying to say, we should think of consequences. Is it worth it? Just look at AZ. Do they think of the innocent children who have been calling this country “home”? Can individual fight this decision? I know some of you disagree with me. And that is okay. We all are entitled to have opinion. Deep down I blame myself for getting involved but I just can’t let go. Is Mars to be blamed for? My Mars is in Virgo, Sun conjunction Mars, Mars conjunction Neptune. Maybe I am all screwed up by my planets and I don’t know it.

Elsa, thank you for being there for us and for being “you”. You are my valuable present, as are your friends on this blog.

Thanks, Elsa. I was thinking more in personal terms–there are a couple of people in my life who are deep in denial and I have real trouble dealing with them. I don’t know how to pretend along with them, it’s just not in my Saggy nature to not say what I think. I’m hoping they wake up, for themselves as well as me. Collectively, yeah, I think we’re well on our way. Anybody paying any attention to the news at all knows our chickens are coming home to roost in a big way.

Just yesterday I met a girl who’s 19 and has a mess of a life right now. We were working the same event and I gave her a ride. We talked for a long time. She’s had a hard life, but the mess right now is of her making. I asked what she would like to do long term, and she didn’t have an answer. After a while, she said she’d like to go to school, but didn’t think she could do it. I asked her what her fears were. You could have heard a pin drop. I think she may have been a little pissed off by the question, too. We talked some more about school and I told her how I had navigated the challenges.

The people I know right now between the ages of 18 and 25 seem to have a much harder time finding a path, for the most part. Is this an elongated adolescence? I really feel for them.

such funny timing of this post! Exactly what my Scorpio and I were physically doing yesterday, tearing down a large, poorly built brick wall in our garden that had suddenly developed an alarming crack. Today we are cleaning and stacking bricks. there is so much more light now.

I have two different kinds of problems when solving problems. First, if it has to do with a relationship in general, I am not good at confronting or expressing my needs. So I let it burn and die away instead of facing up to it. Eventually I get over it.
The other problem has to do with what people in my age group are trying to solve. And although I am strategizing well and taking steps toward fulfilling certain goals, I lack the execution that I wan to have. For instance, I have a chemistry test soon and instead of burying my head in a book for two to three hours a day, I am distracted. The good thing I have is if I see a homeless person I try to help them, in other words, I don’t let someone else solve a problem when I can do it. Even Justin Timberlake said, “If I don’t do it, who will?’ Isn’t that a famous line? So anyway, not sure if this relates but thought I’d share my microcosmic mars energy at work or lack there of. I have Mars in Scorpio too, so I’ve always regenerated myself when things didn’t work out. Pick up the pieces and find a new way or dissolve.

In my work situation, I am surrounded by people who have spent years in denial and self-delusion. The bill is going to come due very soon. I hope it is not too late to harness this new
Aries energy and pull it out of the wringer. They have always kind of rolled their eyes and semi-condescendingly viewed me as the Chicken Little (warning the sky was falling). Well, it’s about to come down around our ears. Maybe Jupiter/Uranus will present a unique opportunity for positive change. We’ll see.

Zavela…. Arizonians are “reacting” to the hipocracy of both the Mexican & US governments : Mexico is enforcing it’s Immigration Laws & United States is not. If we weren’t seeing the results of uncontrolled Immigration reguardless of nationality then my opinion would not be as it is. **(high dependance on social services, hit-n-run on driving accidents, working “under the table” & not paying Taxes)**

The “Innocent children” born here are citizens and clearly have rights as such , our laws protect this and our collective ethics do as well. Mommy & Daddy are not , it’s the shear numbers and the impact of taxpayers paying the bills without seeing this Immigrant group attemting to grab their own bootstraps.

My Pisces energy truly wants to help them avoid unecessary suffering….. but my Scorpio energys says I’ll only do this for a set amount of time. Unending “shoveling $$$’s” at them only hurts my ability to help those in need where I’m at.

Kasemenova…. yep , chickens are roosting.

As an Aries sun and jupiter, I realize that ram energy is relentless… Thankfully I have a grand trine in earth signs… So, getting your Mars on isn’t always a violent thing. It can be a time of renewal, frenzied activity, forceful intensity, new beginnings, new discoveries and high excitement. Just watch your step! Pisces energy is so dreamy and we’ve all enjoyed it and have been frustrated by it and now we’re feeling that Aries sense of urgency to move forward. Let’s go! The future awaits us and the only way to get there is moment by moment, living each and every one of ‘em while we’ve still got ‘em! I’m edgy with anticipation and excitement!

You’re right, Elsa; there is no ‘magic method’ to ending aggression and war, which seem to be the result of other problems coming to a head. Does anyone really think that the planets’ movement into Aries will bring about the energies necessary for transformation ? I suppose we can hope, but…

I’m talking about personal transcendence. If we were to stop minding other people’s business (like news, celebrities, etc.) and put the focus on ourselves and our relationship with Source, individually; then maybe the possibility exists.
‘Be the change you want to see in the world’ holds a lot of weight. Individual’s transformation is imperative if the collective is to change for the better. I believe unfailingly that if the individual can be honest and real and do well for him/herself; the next person benefits vibrationally, and then they do so materially. They get to borrow energy for their own transformation. I don’t believe in telling someone else how to live, or trying to wipe their asses for them; but I do believe we can all count on each other in a healthy way — eventually.

I hope that planetary transits are enough to create for everyone the desire and the openings to change; but I’m concerned that a crisis scenario is about the only thing that will wake the masses from their slumber.

Oh I completely relate. It’s like reading what’s going on with me in words on your blog and I’m playing the young not so bright gal.

What bugs me the most is I have an Aries sun and an Aries Mercury and not being able to do anything about a situation totally means crisis for me. I tend to go back and rehash and obsess and make everything ten times bigger in such cases. It’s just so frustrating.

I imagine burning the wall would be very satisfactory. At least it won’t just stand there staring you in the face mocking you.
I think this is just my aries frustration speaking now.

ariesgal, I can relate. In the case I cite, people will probably die due the hands-up-in-the-air or hand tied mentality. We just can’t do anything that works, we have to keep doing what doesn’t work when the solution seems so incredibly obvious.

Anyway, swirly-glasses coming off soon.

Jupiter in Aires already? holy c__p, another transit!

Yep I agree, Elsa, glasses are coming off, “we” have been impotent wuesses on so many levels and the piper will come to get paid and it will be far reaching.

We, me, in this country, even at some of the poorest levels have more amenities and wealth than most of the third world, and we are totally spoiled, even to have clean running water at McDonalds if we’re homeless. (Today in the news, Third World Countries are suffering from rising food prices, it is too sad) While burying our head in the sand about all the dire consequences that every dollar we spend produces . Spending is our biggest power. Being conscious of suffering animals, dwindling resources and so on. It is just so much easier not to think about it. Maybe tomorrow. At Tara.

I walked in the forest today and heard birdsong all around, an eagle flying from tree to tree making that loud squeaking noise. And I thought, I have always wanted to be an Indian. In total awe and respect of everything around, in total gratitude, in symbiotic relationship with the Mother. And then I get in my filthily consuming pig of a car to drive home. Head in sand..

I am feeling this all the time in education. We spin our wheels and I catch all kinds of grief for trying to help kids. “In just a couple of months they’ll be someone else’s problem, don’t rock the boat and try to identify them now….it’s just not worth it.” I hear that ALL the time. So I’m torn, if I speak out…I’m out and I can’t help those kids the same way as I can on the inside while providing for my own kids, but when I’m silent, my soul kind of dies each time I see a kid suffering to whom I don’t have access. Public education always seems to be a microcosm of society and I know that in many ways, it is very broken.

I”m in such a weird place in my life, no other words to say it. I’m trying to get competitive. I was asked if I wanted to work on a project with visiting lecturers. It’s a SUPER opportunity. And guess what? My GPA isn’t high enough. The instructor said to me
“I’m surprised to learn this.”
Well, I split from my long-term SO and fell of the rails. I’m working like a dog to get it back up.
So, nice to hear someone wants to work with me, now I have to MOVE ON. Moveonmoveonmoveonmoveonmoveon
God, this Grand Cross is brutal. But I feel ‘activated’ at least!

Since when does a grade average correlate with the ability to organize and present lecturers???? I thought that creativity and a willingness would be enough..

Sorry chrispito, you have my vote to work on the project!

What can I say: but that you are absolutely right, from much, too much time we all felt and feel so impotent to face enormously rooted problems, left aside from the drunk age of consummerism, now over…

Time has come to awake. And, for people who may have the sensibility, it is time to try to take back life in their hands, that life that was theft…
