Astrology Today: July 1-2, 2010 – Things Ease

June 30th, 2010 @ 5:00 pm by Elsa

My eye on the sky

Oh wow! Something good to say!

We have a mystic rectangle involving the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars and Pluto so rejoice!

Also the Sun and Mercury have now moved out of orb of the grand cross, leaving us a T-square to contend with.

People who are struggling are not going to all the sudden see their problems evaporate but there should be some easing over the next couple days and this should help.

Check Your Prejudice Here – Poll

June 30th, 2010 @ 12:50 pm by Elsa

Ask the collective

venus-mars-joined-together.jpg From 2008 – Daemoness writes on the Gaslighting bit regarding the various attacks against me on my blog:

“From my perspective, I believe that a lot of people are still very hung up viewing or dealing with a strong woman. Have you ever wondered if you would be getting this kind of reaction if you were a man posting what you do? I would bet it wouldn’t be happening or very minimally at least.”

Great question and no I have never wondered this buy I am wondering now. What if instead of Elsa P, I was Frank L? Would this change your perception of what is written on this blog?

[poll=161]

And here is the burning question:

If your perception would change, how would it change?

Heads Up From Elsa P: July 1, 2010 – Hot Fire And A Play In 3 Acts

June 30th, 2010 @ 7:07 am by Elsa

Excerpt from my newsletter

From my weekly newsletter (sent tomorrow)

We have a dramatic week on tap. It unfolds like a play in three acts and I like that.

In Act I, we sail into the weekend. A lot of people found themselves up against a wall and rock and a hard place in June but things will ease now and most will notice this on Thursday and Friday. It’s almost magic out there so take full advantage.

Dixie’s Daily Tarot, June 30, 2010: A Mother’s Worry

June 30th, 2010 @ 5:03 am by Dixie

Astrology Meets Tarot

four-cupsMy daughter—almost 21—moved across the country six months ago. I miss her, hard. She’s still my baby, even if she doesn’t qualify by any objective standard.

We’re texting, and out of the blue, I get a feeling. I ask her if she’s doing okay. No response. I wait a bit and trying calling. Voicemail. Lather, rinse, repeat a few times for good measure.

I’ve got no tangible provocation to worry, really. So why doesn’t somebody tell my stomach that?  Maybe that’s what the Four of Cups was trying to do. I asked for guidance, and he responds, inverted. In this deck, the card is associated with the moon in Cancer.

Saturn in Libra: It Goes Both Ways by Shaina

June 29th, 2010 @ 2:55 pm by Shaina

It’s Getting Personal

Oliver TwistSatori’s post got me thinking about the question of “good value” and how it flows both ways.

Up until recently I held a job in the medical field. I was prompt, efficient, and had a good attitude every day from the first day I started to the last day I worked there. I once described the work as “I’m an ox in harness from 9:30 to 6″ (Taurus on the MC). I worked hard, I enjoyed it, I dealt with the crap that goes along with any job, and the perks and pay were good value for what I gave. Equal input for equal outflow.

Astrology And Fashion: Celebs And Their Style- Val Kilmer by Annalisa

June 29th, 2010 @ 12:31 pm by Annalisa

Astrology and Style

Val Kilmer is a Capricorn Sun actor of stage and screen with a respectable career full of very different types of roles. Val has a very strong Sagittarius stellium that includes his Mercury, Mars and Jupiter with Uranus in Leo trining it. His Sun is in Capricorn and so is Saturn, which is in its home sign. His Capricorn Sun and Saturn are trine his Pluto in Virgo making him a very hard-working and intensely detailed actor in a role. With his Mars and Jupiter in Sagittarius (Jupiter in its home sign) along with Mercury, Val has an interest in the motivation of his characters and researches them deeply before he starts filming. With Uranus in Leo trining his Sagittarius, he is even more interested in different characters and what motivates them.

Old And Diseased

June 29th, 2010 @ 10:49 am by Elsa

Ask the collective

Today my husband was talking about the inevitably of us growing old and becoming diseased.  Stark, I know but in whatever case, I don’t seem to care about either.

He has certain things he wants to achieve before he is old and diseased.  He wants to wind up in certain conditions when he is at this stage and is willing to work… to do anything to have it be that way.

The clear message is that if he fails to set up these conditions, he will feel his life to be degraded and my reality is in stark contrast.

Saturn Is Going Into Libra: Do You Give As Good As You Get? By Satori

June 29th, 2010 @ 6:40 am by Satori

“Years ago my mother used to say to me, she’d say, ‘In this world, Elwood, you must be,’ — she always called me Elwood — ‘In this world, you must be oh so smart, or oh so pleasant.’ Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me.”
- Elwood P. Dowd, “Harvey”

Saturn is going back into Libra soon and it’s time to be polite and offer good value for what you get.

My best boss ever was a Taurus; I worked for her for six years in three different high end smoke shops. I started out her store in a mall where we all were required to open EXACTLY at ten. I always got there 15 minutes early so I would be ready to open on the dot. Nearly every day there was someone jonesin’ at the open grate, pull-up door asking me please, please couldn’t I just sell them a pack of smokes before opening, couldn’t I help them out? I did it for months. It wasn’t exactly against the rules. I also stayed open several minutes late if people trickled in.
