Astrology Today: June 1-2, 2010 – Beware Drunks And Try Not To Shoot Your Own Foot!
My eye on the sky
The situation is unstable with the Moon in Aquarius, Uranus in Aries and Jupiter teetering at the last degree of Pisces.
Anger is diffused and confused with Mars opposing Neptune.
Mars is a loaded gun but the gun is not cocked at the moment. It is also poorly aimed so it’s a take aim at the enemy and shoot yourself in the foot kind of situation.
Not that this isn’t dangerous. People drunk or impaired by drugs (Neptune) over these next few days definitely pose a danger and should be avoided (also Neptune) if possible.
Added Note: The situation with the Israeli commandos vs the flotilla activists is a manifestation of the Mars (violence) Neptune (sea/confusion)

Here is a new wrinkle, something that occurred to me. I am in the middle of this story, Red Hand Truck and people like it quite a bit. I like it quite a bit. I really miss telling stories, I think I was born to tell them. I give a lot of weight to what my husband says, you might notice he is quite smart and it haunts me he thinks I am primarily a writer.
In whatever case I have written a lot of stories over the last 10 years. I have written thousands of pages and people like the stories, They said I wrote heroin. I got compared to Hemingway and even to Van Gogh but I never got anywhere with it. I actually put out the effort to turn 15 of the stories into a book and still never got anywhere with that either though I thought for sure I would.

Red Hand Truck: Part 9 – Buzzards And Various Other Sundries
This is a true story.
Catch up here – Red Hand Truck – Part 1 – The Collision
“What happened to you? They’re swarming like damned buzzards,” Will said with his crooked grin. Will waved his arms around when he talked; it was the way he was. He thought it was funny. He thought it was cute and he was right.
“Huh?”
He saw my hand and feigned dramatic surprise. “What happened to your hand?” he asked, staring at the huge gauze. “Is your hand in there somewhere?” he said with a chuckle. “That is a huge bandage! Wow! Wow, Elsa, what’s it like to have that much gauze on your hand?” he babbled. “There’s talk on the street. They’re really humming out there. Rainbo (a local brand of bread) and one of the Pepsi guys have already asked me to put a good word in to the boss for them. They said you aren’t going to work at Frito anymore and they want your job.”

Red Hand Truck: Part 8 – Taking Stock
This is a true story.

Taking Stock
I left the exam room thinking on high. Who was I going to call? Someone who wouldn’t drive me nuts. I needed someone smart so I decided to call the Scorpio. I’d just met him but so what. He was the guy.
I’d been in this town more than a year and he was the first person I’d met whose idea of “normal” matched mine. I met him a few days after he moved to the town. See how I hone in? I didn’t know it yet but in the future we’d marry.
“Brinnnnnng! Brinnnnnnnnnng!”

Broadcasting Your Self Esteem – Is This Rude?
Astrology in real life
From 2008:
“…women don’t tend to admit being “pretty good” in our culture.”
No they don’t. Even if the believe it they don’t state it as if it is impolite to have self-esteem. So here I am with Mars conjunct Mercury (loud) in the ninth house (broadcast) in Libra (Venus) and what am I do to? Yell out that I am desirable or pervert my energy?
If you think I should pervert my energy, should I dye my hair too? What else should I do to be more palatable? And why should I do this again?

Red Hand Truck: Part 7 – The Doctor
This is a true story.
Catch up here – Red Hand Truck – Part 1 – The Collision
I kept my eyes averted and the nurse sat me in a wheel chair gently laying my hand, palm down on a large pad lying on a metal tray with wheels. I didn’t look. I didn’t even think about looking.
She told me she was going to inject something into my hand for pain. Tetanus too I guess, I don’t remember. I felt a needle or two or three in the top of my hand and then nothing. I had no feeling in my hand at all. Hooray! I had survived.
She gingerly folded the pad over the top of my completely numb hand and it almost made me laugh. Here she was scrubbing like crazy when it hurt and now that it didn’t she showed this great reverence. Whatever. I noted the irony and took this as a clear sign I was regaining my footing. I felt no pain at all and was ready to rebound now. She wheeled me into an exam room to see the doctor.

Astrology Today: May 31, 2010 – The Foggy War: Act II
My eye on the sky
The Moon, Mercury and Saturn form a loose grand trine in earth which offers a degree of grounding as Neptune turns retrograde to apply in opposition to Mars in Leo exacerbating the spectacular foggy war mentioned yesterday.
My husband is a highly trained soldier and warns it is imperative you verify your target before you shoot. This will be very hard to do today so probably best to put your gun down if you’ve any doubt your ability to handle one.

Red Hand Truck: Part 6 – The Nurse
This is a true story.
Catch up here – Red Hand Truck – Part 1 – The Collision
I made a beeline to the front desk, pain rising quickly. “I burned my hand,” I said, out of breath.
The receptionist yelled back, “She’s here”. Next thing I knew I was in a chair next to a sink with my hand under cold running water. The nurse had me by the wrist. Firmly. My hand was facing up under the water, my forearm pressed into the side of a stainless steel sink. It hurt.
“This is going to hurt,” she said.
“What?”
“This will hurt. I’m very sorry. Grit your teeth. Try to keep breathing. I have to scrub your hand.”
