Revolutionizing Your Thought Processes To Avoid Drawing Stupid Conclusions

Saturn Opposite Uranus… square Pluto

I have been working closely with a client over the last couple days. My husband got involved on the periphery which he does on rare occasion. In this case, the gal has Moon Neptune in Scorpio conjunct his Moon Neptune in Scorpio which is conjunct Venus and Mars in Scorpio in the man’s chart. There is a real synergy going on and I have served as conduit.

Basically, I consult with the gal on the phone, hang up, give him the run down and then email his remarks to her which are blunt, along the lines of getting a brick to the head.

A brick to the head is just the ticket for some and if you are formidable (and this gal is), it is very hard to find someone who will hit you with a brick but around here we have a stack of them and we don’t have them lying around for nothing so she is in luck.

My sister said talking to me is 2 for 1, like talking to a psychologist and an astrologer all-in-one. When my husband gets involved, it is 3 for 1 and at this point there is sure to be an impact which is what was necessary in this case because the gal came in on a gurney.

In this process, my husband made remarks that correlate with Saturn’s retrograde transit back into Virgo.  Saturn will be in Virgo for a few months and this is it, your last /best chance to learn these lessons for decades to come and if you look at it from that perspective it may really inspire you to clutch it up and focus.

“That is a stupid conclusion,” he said. “She draws a stupid conclusion and then she..”

I passed this along to the gal explaining that my husband was highly trained not to draw a stupid conclusion about anything because to do so would cost lives, most probably his own.

Because of this, he was trained to check his facts and then check them again so when he finally took action he could be assured he was acting on solid intelligence.

Once it hits you how important it is to ave your info straight, you can see how disabling it is to not have your info straight.  Draw just one wrong conclusion and from there on out, you are acting blind and foolish whether you know it or not.

Since this is exactly what most people do, when you opt to do otherwise it provides clear advantage. Nothing against Neptune but when your life is as stake you really don’t want to be acting in a fog if you can help it.

I wrote this out because it has wide application and Saturn’s transit though Virgo opposing Uranus provides an excellent opportunity to revolutionize your thinking or your thought process so you no longer draw stupid conclusions and I will give you an example what I mean:

People who oppose health care reform are racist. The man didn’t call you because he thinks you are fat…

Those are examples of stupid conclusions and if you invest in things like this, well most can see it will leave you operating in the land of My Little Pony which is not going to help you all that much on earth.

To what degree do you mind your mind?

Oh man. That is the honest truth of it all! I don’t plan to ever forget that lesson again!

I am coming to realize just how little I mind my mind and how stupid (and disastrous) that can be.

I try to mind my mind, but don’t always have much luck. There are many internal battles, and a lot of logic vs emotion, often resulting in me overthinking things, and sometimes coming to the wrong conclusion.

Unbelievably important information, Elsa. Your knack for going to the heart of the matter shines again.

An Aries w/Libra Moon friend (who incidentally survived a stint as civilian consultant in Vietnam) firmly believed in “good” information being absolutely necessary for decision making.

I’m kinda fanatical about this too . . . Mars/Mercury/ASC conj in Scorpio

It just occurred to me, sometimes I get clients who have done all kinds of things because a psychic told them a man would be back in 3-6 months. The results are devastating.

I never mind my mind. My gut feelings maybe, but I usually end up rationalizing anything my mind tells me I don’t like. Kind of like when you are playing a game and you don’t like the card you draw so you draw another hoping it will be better. But lately, I am trying to live in stone cold reality. It’s chilly but the forecast is better than if I just pretended nothing was wrong. I am unplugging the fog machine.

God, I’d been taking an intense course in the whole “expect nothing from anyone” lesson while Saturn was in Virgo.

And what I mean by expectations is… just a general sense of respect. No rose petals, nothing like that. Just a general acknowledgment that I exist and that my needs matter as much as anyone else’s.

I do sense that theme returning already, and I have to say that, when I most needed understanding from a superior, whom I’ve been there through and through for, I did not receive it. That person was in a “what about my needs” mood, even though I brought up a need for a day off to contend with a dire situation well ahead of time.

I realize that, yes, it is all about that f*cking person, and it is unfair of me– to me– to assume differently, to expect differently…

That being said, if this replays, I’m just gonna have to give that superior a send-off. I’ve about had it, and not about to exhaust myself for anyone. Good luck to him/her replacing me.

Brilliant. Brilliant and timely. I have been simultaneously learning just how Neptunian I actually am, and how much I have allowed wrong use of it to run my life. I’m becoming shocked by what a dolly daydream I’ve been living in, and, as you say, making the most ridiculous decisions as a result. Here’s to reality…to Saturn and to Virgo…

Wow, as always your blog posts are so timely for me. I was having a very heated discussion with myself this morning on a similar topic.

I’ve often described myself as someone who “jumps to possibilities” … I don’t full on run with any conclusion, but test the waters on various hypothesis. I’m a notorious sleuth, and will look at things from a million and one angles until I’m satisfied I’m getting a clear picture (Scorpio Moon, 8th House Merc). That said, the reason I think I have to do this is because of the largest false conclusion, so ingrained into my happy-go-lucky Sag rising personality, that people aren’t lying to me and are generally real.

Unfortunately, with Neptune conjunct ASC, I’m learning in that just about EVERYONE important in my life has been lying to me and/or are pretty far removed from real. So I guess I’m having to learn to go with my suspicious instincts and not invest in my naive notion that people are genuine.

Unfortunately, my radar gets all gummed up pretty regularly, and it’s that Scorpio BS meter/detective machine that saves me — but it’s a little slow on the defense. Sigh.

Which Mind do you mind? We all have what I call 1.0 and 2.0. 1.0 is the subconscious, that is more an involuntary response. When you tell yourself your not going to do that, and do it anyway, that is 1.0. Fight or flight, habits, emotions all of these are 1.0 thinking.

2.0 is the new improved mind, it can reason, look down the road see problems and avoid them.

1.0 came before 2.0, or somethings are so traumatic that 1.0 takes over as it thinks 2.0 has failed or stopped working.

When you attempt complex tasks using only 1.0 software the people around you wear the scares. 1.0 users should be banned from parenthood. They give us a whole new line of people operating on older software who carry on a tradition of not understanding why they have the problems they do.

Upgrade to 2.0 and let it monitor 1.0 for quality purposes, everyone around you will thank you for it.

My mind is loopy & hard to manage, but I try. I try very hard not to jump to conclusions b/c it’s often come back to bite me in the ass. So, when my mind is running off on tangents, I have to grab the reins & pull it back in. If I’m still confused, I ask for clarity. I’m pretty sure I’ve shocked people with the silly stuff that I ask. BUT! It’s better to ask & know than not ask & not know & then you get so twisted up that pretzels think you look funny.

Thanks, Shannon. I really think we are where we go too and boy has it been a brutal journey. I just can’t say it enough – warn the younger generation, don’t ever walk away from someone you really love because the next one is not always better and the price you pay is steep.

hehe i usually don’t criticize people or myself that much but i am definitely feeling the effects of Saturn at this juncture!!

if i go down a bad train of thought i just have to tell myself to stop and lucky for me, can be easily distracted by the next object to cross my path… lately i’ve been more critical about the things that i want (and the people that surround me) but realize that where i am this moment is due to decisions i’ve already made… so i try not to beat myself up so much and hope to make better informed decisions that will get me where i really want to be (thanks to mercury trine my nept)

a very eye opening topic for the current transitions!!

Thank you, this one I’m still learning. Not to stereotype people and draw quick conclusions. I am getting hit over the head about this frequently with Saturn in Virgo. This is going to take me a little while to learn for sure.
