I’ve already written about Venus opposing Saturn on March 9, 2010 which will have people taking a cold, hard look at love and relationship. This transit is akin to that except this time it’s a reality check on your mental function.

Whenever you have an opposition, the other is involved so you might have someone judging (Saturn) your thinking (Mercury).  They may tell you to slow down, to think carefully or more conservatively.

Because the opposition is in Aries / Libra, the relationship angle is especially highlighted so this is a period where people play off each other around themes of mind (Mercury) control (Saturn).

You might be called for defend (Saturn) your ideas (Mercury) and if your thoughts are mature and have basis in reality, you will be able to which will solidify your thinking.

You can compare this to defending your dissertation. If you are blathering and have no ground to stand on you are going to be called out.  But if you have laid the groundwork and are able to demonstrate it, you can hold your position.

On the low end, some may oppress (Saturn) others by calling them stupid, morons, uninformed. If you are not a stupid, uniformed moron, I wouldn’t worry about this as it will be a projection.
