Venus opposes Saturn and it’s a cold hard look at love and money. This is the sweetest sugar version I can come up with:

  • Who do you love?
  • What are your tastes?
  • How does money factor in your relationship?
  • What are your limits when it comes to love?
  • Are you dependent on your partner or them on you?
  • Are you financially responsible?
  • Why Is there a lack of love or money in you life?
  • Are you doing your share when it comes to others?
  • Do you do the right thing in your dealings with others?
  • etc.

As you can see none of these questions are lovely but imagine the condition of someone who never bothers to ask them.

Love is love and money is money, but when they intersect, you have some uncomfortable questions to ask yourself, especially if you have a practical bent of mind….

So this is right on.

How does this play with for those with saturn/venus natally? Especially in a hard aspect?

And how, neva. Saturn’s pretty much conjuncting my Venus right now, and of course Pluto’s squaring this bunch. These questions have been part of my existence in a big way for a while now, so at least I’m asking them. But it’s not fun. Not fun (or sweet)at all.

mud, it will set off the natal aspect and I might also mention – Pluto square the opposition so this is coming in BIG TIME.

Intense. I have the square natally. My ex has the opposition. And my recent Scorpio amputation (the relationship that never was) also has the opp.

Sometimes, too, we do have love and money but we don’t think we do.

My natal Saturn is sextile Venus so I’m comfortable dealing with these questions. However with Saturn transiting 11th house and Pluto transiting 2nd house, I’m questioning if my boyfriend is worth all the privation and discipline I’m willing to apply to life-long commitment.

Unfortunately with Venus transiting opposite my Mercury I’m not very tactful when we have these discussions. My bf is a Pisces Venus and we’ve been more forgiving of each other lately, it’s very easy to love him outside of the money/career talks, but my indecisiveness (Mercury Libra) and his wishy-washy thinking (Mercury Pisces) is making me feel really uncertain and unsettled. Ugh.

Wow, this is great!
Funny Elsa, it’s basically a checklist of what we talked about in consultation when my ex and I broke up last year. taking a look at all of it improved my life exponentially–after I stopped bawling my eyes out

Hit the nail right on the head. I’ve been asking myself these questions for a while it has been intense but carthartic :)

Or the condition of someone who always asks them, and cannot come up with a definite answer : )

I think with saturn opposite venus, especially with saturn in 7th you never really decide on a set answer as you are taught to see multiple, balanced answers. Both sides exist to those who say money means nothing and love is everything to love is nothing and money is everything plus all the variables in between.

Perhaps with time (saturn) the answer to what love means (venus) and what path to follow will be clarified provided you no longer run back and forth between saturnine and venusian ideals.

Does the opposition of Venus and Saturn in a natal chart conditions love to some sort of dependency contract?
I’m wondering, your questions make me think about a couple whose both mars and venus are in Capricorn. They are completely co-dependent. Litteraly. She depends completely economically on him. And he depends in everything else on her. None of them would survive without the other. Again litteraly. Socially they are both brilliant. Exemplary. Practically (Capricorn), love can become a contract.

i have this transit right now and i have no friends nor love life, i don’t know where to begin, except trying to figure out how to cultivate either. I have a great career/job etc, but i long for the day when my life is in balance and i have both, seems like i either have one or the other and i am miserable either way. Any more insights to what to expect during this transit?
