Transits and Aspects: Lemons and Lemon Products by satori
“We are standing on a whale fishing for minnows.”

My teenaged son’s best friend was hit by a car yesterday. Again. It was the fourth time. He’s relatively fine and the driver had insurance which will cover his hospital bill. Four times really is amazing, though. This last time happened near the entrance to the grocery store, the same grocery store where he was recently mugged. My son told me he was right there when some guy punched his friend and took the friend’s gallon of milk.
I haven’t seen this kid’s chart and who wouldn’t be curious now? Even without it couldn’t a person make some pretty accurate projections about what might be there, whether by natal aspect or transit? Pluto and Mars, Mars and Mercury… out in public, maybe the tenth house or the MC? It would be interesting to know if Saturn or Uranus were involved; should he be paying more attention or is this sudden and random?
Clearly, it’s much easier to look at an event and see it in the chart than it is to look at the chart and predict the outcome. That’s why “cookbook” explanations are rarely satisfying; it’s so hard to put energy into words. Each planet has an energy. The connections between them, squares, conjunctions, oppositions, trines, they’re just ways of combining those energies.
Each planetary energy has certain qualities and certain areas of influence. Put them together with another planet and its energy and you’ve got many possibilities to choose from. So you’ve got this energy, in your day, in your life, and it’s going to express itself. Or… you can express that energy FIRST, before it has a chance to happen to you. That’s one possibility.
Just imagine you’re walking out the door at the market with your big bag of lemons. You can think up hundreds of ways to use those lemons, lemon bars, lemon cream pie, hollandaise sauce. You could pull out those lemons, throw your hat down in front of you and juggle them for loose change! Or you can leave it all to fate, get hit by a car and make lemonade in your pants.

Do you look back on stressful events and try to pinpoint the astrology?

Thank you for saying (writing?) that. And love the lemons analogy. It kind of reminds me of when Elsa says if you stab me, I get the knife. But you have to do something with the knife… else it just sits there hurting you!
Yes, i usually do — and i’m usually aware of mars/pluto/uranus squares and opps by transit….ahead of time so i guess it’s more like tracking mars cuz uranus and pluto move so slowly…..
Yeah, for instance, that crazy almost-plane crash in the North Atlantic I was in. It happened right on that big solar eclipse in mid-July last year, which was exactly square my Sun. It was such a surreal experience, and I felt so close to my fellow passengers, I started to wonder how the eclipse fell in all of their charts! That’s a lot of people on a full 767. I didn’t wind up getting any of their birth data though.
That poor kid! I’m glad he’s been bouncing back from this though. Must be some major Jupiter in there.
This cat needs to be sat down and thoroughly educated in how he flows his energy. Imho, he is attracting these situations to him through conscious or unconscious use of his personal energy. Anger, fear, frustration are a few places to start. I don’t consider his situation ‘bad luck’ in the least. No soldier would want to hang with this guy until he processes his stuff, thoroughly.
“Or you can leave it all to fate, get hit by a car and make lemonade in your pants.”-great line Satori! And, in my opinion, being able to look back at events and the energy involved helps in using that energy to your advantage or for the positive the next time. So on the next go ’round you can make lemon bars:)
I’m curious as to what kinds of transits would be prone to cause accidents like being hit by the car. Mars square Uranus, perhaps?
i’m accident prone. it’s the space cadet mercury/uranus/saturn thing going, i’m pretty sure. i’ve got lots of practice finding the humor in prat falls…
i’d think this sounds a lot more like mars/uranus… especially since he wasn’t driving himself (eh, all of my car accidents/fender benders were my own dang fault== saturn…)
I read somewhere that accidents, especially involving machines, are to do with unexpressed Uranus energy. I think it said something about not letting out your eccentric genius…
I absolutely try to look back and find the astrology. I’m just a baby duck, so it’s good practice.
I have no clue what would be going on with young dude. I can just say AW, maaaan! Whatever it is I hope it doesn’t stick around long…
I do look back at the charts for certain times in my life, but I’m such a novice I can’t see the connections. Makes me wonder if my “Jill of All Trades, Master of None” shows in the chart anywhere.
opal- that really is a fab observation. this kid is a creative genius who has hit a wall.
