A quote from “Jabberwocky” by Lewis Carroll, born 27 January – (me too). You don’t get much more Aquarian than -

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves

Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;

All mimsy were the borogoves,

And the mome raths outgrabe. :-)

I like your mothers quote..my mum used to say ‘only the boring are bored’ (aqua moon).

Z, your comment reminds me of a song by Harvey Danger that was popular-ish in the late 90s called “Flagpole Sitta”:

I’m hearing voices in my head
I swear to God it sounds like they’re snoring
But if you’re bored then you’re boring
The agony and the irony
They’re killing me!

z– I heard that when I was a kid and took it deeply to heart. I vowed never to be boring. I don’t know how well I succeeded but I know I sure did try.

LOL.

My family is very Uranian but only 1 of us is an Aquarius.

Rides on the floor waxer when our restaurant was closed? Weee thanks Dad! (real safe LOL)

One of our (many “not all there”) regular customers used to carry around a cattle prod and that was OK for a long time until my mom finally told my dad to tell the guy to quit it or he can’t come in and drink his coffee there any more.

Cattle Prod Dan* also used to play “White Christmas” by Bing Crosby over and over again on the jukebox all year long until we finally couldn’t take it anymore and would unplug it.

*Name changed to protect the guilty.

I am surrounded by Aquarians – even married one! I I am sooooo boring because I love stability and home and only sometimes reckless abandon- I don’t need to be stimulated constantly – in fact I prefer NOT to socialise too much -

Although the attraction is with the opposite – He makes me come out of myself every now and again -

I wonder what he sees in me……:)

Alright, here’s another one from my mother who fancies herself a queen:

“Go on ahead without me. I’ll catch up later.”

hans, for me, the aquarian part of my daughter’s quote is not the ‘queen’ aspect of it, but the rebellious nature of a girl king. not a queen, not a princess, but a girl king. it’s transgressive. especially for a then 3 year old. now she’s 4 and as aquarian as ever! (am on mobile. pls xcuse typos.)

I feel like Aquarians are the MOST loved sign… they do their own thing and don’t force their ideals onto people.

LOL z…I am an aquarian, and my father (a mercury-uranus square Aries Sun) always use to tell me; “Only boring people get bored”…I just told my bf this today actually, and here it is again, what a great sync..

I have Aquarius Mercury and Venus… and many Uranus aspects. My mother says of me “you don’t want to be with somebody who can ground you, you want to be with somebody who can fly with you”.

One time my boss’s Aquarius girlfriend was chatting with me about some of our regular customers and she suddenly said “Don’t you just love people!?”
All the scorpions in my head thought “no, not really.” but I didn’t feel like expanding on that theme so I just said “sure.”
She kept going “I mean everyone is so different, I just love it.”
Again, I just said “sure.”

beth–perhaps that aquarian was just revolting against his own -isms. haha

I love shocking and surprising people! I relate a lot to pisces due to the amount of neptune and pisces in my chart but the aquarius sun and mercury in me LOVES to shock!!

WhosThatLady, I like what you said about them not forcing their ideals. I am not aquarius but must have something of their nature — I have a stellium in the 11th house and UNaspected Uranus…….

Hey Moonpluto, i’ve also got unaspeced Uranus, and i am an Aquarius (Sun). I don’t know if this makes me behave more like an Aquarian or less.

“Mom, when I grow up I want to have an outer-space zoo!!!! And I’ll be an astronaut and a zookeeper!!!!!!!” — my daughter, age 4

And a conversation between us:

“Mom, why is it raining again?”

I said, “I guess God thought the world needed to be washed some more.”

She paused for a moment and then asked, “Mom, why does God get to decide what the world needs?”

She’s a very philosophical little thing. I could give many more examples. Every day I’m inundated with her Aquarius tendency toward spiritual questioning, deep thoughts, and also shockingly rebellious ideas! She is absolutely awesome! :D

Shannon, I remember your tattoo, “chacun a son goute!” And of course, my mom says that all the time. She was talking to my aunt yesterday, who is a Cancerian and fond of pushing her ideas onto others if she knows best out of compassion, she was trying to gently convince her to not push herself on her son. And she said at the end, there’s nothing I can do, she’s going to go her own way. She also talks about there being a million points of view and I hate that.

Dina, I say it a lot too :-) I threatened to get inked for a few years before I actually did so.

Me? I’ve got Aquarius on my midheaven (trine Uranus even), and the tattoo is on the inside of my right wrist, facing out. Make of that what you will

You know, I actually think Capricorn and Aquarius have a lot in common. Capricorn is very live and let live too, because they have boundaries, let me control myself and climb my mountain and you go ahead and do what you want. Except they’re a little more like, you can be you at home, but when you’re in the office you act professional.

Observe the point of view of a Scorpio on the “everyone is different situation.” Strong Bad=Scorpio in my opinion, (I associate red, black, and green with Scorpio too, I wonder if Jamaica is a Scorpio…):
