Sofia Coppola, in my own opinion, is one of the most stylish women of our time. Although she spends a large amount of time under the radar and behind the camera, she has carried on her family’s legacy with the tradition of the Taurus with the Capricorn Moon that her chart reflects. She has done so in her own, individual way and “individual” is the best way to describe Sofia’s fashion style.  With her Mars and North Node in Aquarius, we would expect Sofia to find her own way although she is in the “family business.”

Sofia has a long standing friendship with another original and I believe they suit each other well. Marc Jacobs is a close friend of Sofia’s and she wears many of his clothes, especially when appearing in the public eye. She chooses clothing that suits her individual style, and her Aries Venus would insist on her being herself in all situations.

Sofia has a small, petit body and she is not a tall woman. The clothing she wears reflect the choices of a woman who knows what looks good on such a body with choices in dresses that are not overtly sexual and in some cases possessing even more fabric than most anyone else in the room. She favors flutter or puffed sleeves which look great on a very thin and small woman of a any age and if she chooses a bare look she is covered still, with no loud nod to skin revealing styles that would bury a small and petite body. She wears almost any color and her skin tone allows for that. Her hair is in it’s natural color more or less and that is a nod to her earthy planets. Given her Taurus sun we see and could expect to see that her clothing is always comfortable first and the fabric is of the very best one can find. If she is wearing a pearl dress or a red dress, Sofia usually chooses drapey fabrics and soft, wearable textures. Never over dresses, a nod to her Capricorn Moon, she is one to watch, in my book, for ideas in clothing.

Sofia stays on the edge in her work yet is an Academy Award winner. Her Venus and Mercury in Aries, her Mars in Aquarius and lastly, her Jupiter in Sag would have her forward thinking being the case most of the time when choosing projects. She is a good example of a Cappy leading but leading in a new direction with a nod to the best of the “old,” She is highly stylized in her projects and it has paid off for her in spades.

Sofia’s chart says “individual leader,” when read as a whole and I think we can expect more of this in her lifestyle, including her dressing and in her work. She is one in for the long haul with a Taurus Sun backed by a Capricorn Moon and she is daring to be different with the planets and placements that are backing the strong earth that powers her.
