Mercury In Capricorn Sextiles The Moon In Scorpio… And Reveals Things

Astrology in real life

Mercury’s transit through Capricorn (kissing Pluto en route) has been incredible for me personally.  At the moment, the Moon in Scorpio is in a tight sextile to Mercury allowing access to depth for those willing to ponder the abyss.

I am sure many would say that I spend way too much time on such pursuits but that is like telling someone one with curly hair they’d be better off if their hair was straight. Huh?

In whatever case, I am thinking about a number of things. For one, I think people are going to find out they have roots. No, as a matter of fact we are not all alike. I will be really happy when this happens, reason being I hate falseness and facade.

Second, if you are an 8th house type like me, or a major Scorpio, when it comes to not being repulsive, there is only so much you are going to be able to do.  There are limits!  There is only so much you can do to dodge the shadow and I find at least in my case, that safe areas can actually be defined.

That right there represents a major breakthrough.  It means I have a place to rest.

It reminds me of Monopoly.  When the game is really hot and high rent, it behooves a person to sit in jail.

Elsa P has found her jail.

Anyone else stumble on somethin’?

Stumble, hell I fell into it face first. I am going to my childhood home for Christmas, this will be my 4th trip this year. Yeah so what’s your point? Before this year I haven’t been there for 10 years. Why? Poisoned roots!

Thank-you for naming it, and of course your stories.

My poisoned roots led to a life of self fullfilling prophecies. NO MORE. My AC is sitting at 14 degrees Pisces. I am coming into my own. No more poison. No more facades. No more falsness. I was born with saturn, mars and neptune in my 8th house scorpio.

funny! i am finding my safe space / jail too. I am learning who I can reach out to and for whom this is a major sign of weakness. Talk about amputation – how I am being cut from my past. Really hurtful, but also strangely liberating, because it is truth. WHAT A PROCESS!!!

I spent years when I was younger trying to straighten my curly hair. Eventually I gave up and learned to love it. I make the most of what it is and now it’s an asset.

Hair as an analogy for life :) But it’s interesting how much resentment you can attract just for having fab hair. There are some who will always hate you for what you have and are naturally and I think once you can settle to the fact that that’s just the way of it,you become safe.

Knowing who and what you are is your root system, and the roots anchor you and keep you safe. In a funny kind of way the restriction = freedom.

Last night the soldier said he doesn’t think he has a zone like this and I don’t think he does either. I think this might be rare and if you do have a position like this you can take, you have to find it which is not something many are going to be interested in doing which is another point on topic.

Just because I am interested doesn’t mean others are. I am learning this loud and clear here lately. I’ve more and more reason to keep to myself.

Don’t you think though, that the nature of being a man (for real) means you don’t have a zone?

It’s like the woman naturally is the custodian of the void or the abyss, and is at home there, but the male thing, by its very nature is always travelling through the void. If he needs a safe zone, he finds in it the woman, not in himself.
(I’m talking about real life here, not people who play at being real.)

I think this has a lot to do with that notion that behind every great man there is a great lady, you know? A man, in my opinion, can never really fulfill his potential without a woman who can provide that for him.

For me, the fact that the soldier realises this about himself says something truly profound.

a couple days ago i had a job interview come back to me from last year (the place was supposed to interview me last year but ended up not being able to hire). but wow, the internal effect was much larger than i expected. it was a real confidence boost but in a deep sort of way. i mean, i started re-evaluating how i normally see myself and asking why i don’t give myself more credit. pluto mercury at work?

What I’m trying to say is that the woman can find sanctuary within herself, but the man finds sanctuary in the woman.

opal, I think we’re talking about 2 different things. In other words, if a man had my chart, I think he would and could find respite in the same place I do – the chart is just set up that way.

The criteria then is not M/F but whether the phenomenon exists in the chart in the first place and if so, can you identify it.

I see. Yes we are talking about different things. I’ve been doing a lot of this recently. Hmm.

I don’t know about having a safe zone… Uranus on the IC kinda screws that up, but with sun/moon in the same house, I can relate to being weary of facades. I simply don’t have a facade in the normal sense – sun/moon what you see is what you get. A lot of people find this novel. I can’t be any other way.

With a solid dose of heavy planets in Scorpio/3rd… I can’t even talk about things superficially. People have mistaken this for a deep shared relationship – but… The dynamic is clear as day in my chart.

i guess i’m lucky i have that neptune IC… i’ve always been able to find a place to disappear into. it’s been essential at times.

How is the safe zone related to your IC, if at all?

“How is the safe zone related to your IC, if at all?”

It’s not but I agree with ol’d re: Uranus on the IC. I see it the same way she does.

this reminds me of a very wise pisces friend who said to me during saturn/neptune: “the calmest place to be during a storm is in the eye of it”

Safe zone? /looks around

/doesn’t find

/goes back to balancing act because only in balance does she find some respite.

well, maybe it’s not so much the IC placement so much that it’s square my ascendant?
