Astrology, The Cardinal T-Square And New Years Resolutions For 2010
Astrology in real life
I don’t usually make new year’s resolutions. I’m usually doing the best I can all the time but this year I’m going to make exception.
I’ve been aware over the last few weeks, the personality change I have suffered. I chalk this up to long term suffering with my daughter being ill. After awhile it just gets to you but I am interested now in trying to recoup and recover my personality.
There is a T-square in the Cardinal signs that involves the Moon, Venus, Saturn and Pluto which seems a good time to revamp your rules of relating to others from an emotional standpoint so this is exactly what I am going to do. I am going to come up with some kind of social (Libra) structure (Saturn). My main thrust will be to reduce the strife in my life because it just grinds you down.
Henry taught us this when we were kids. He said all people should be given the benefit of the doubt because most of them would not let you down. But if someone did prove themselves to be disagreeable, at that point you should distance yourself which makes a lot of sense.
My move in this direction is not to reject the other but to protect myself. I am about to post another part of a story and I can see where having a good disposition really gave me advantages in life. Having Venus Neptune, if I get around your bad disposition, I absorb it and wind up displaying your traits so based on this it will be my intention to avoid nasty people like the plague.
Anyone else making a New Year’s resolution?

To have more faith in the universe is my resolution.
I agree with Henry. It’s not about being judgmental (as someone once accused me of being when he/she was clearly being a d-bag). It’s about being smart. We can’t just be emotional or logical. I think we have to be both…
To “see my own ass” before Pluto gets to it.
cut out more elements of my life that drag me down so i can focus on the things i really care about.
“it will be my intention to avoid nasty people like the plague.”
Me, too. That’s a very good suggestion, Elsa. It’s something I don’t generally do. And then I wonder why I feel blindsided, and take days to process things. …Wondering how to be strategic after-the-fact, when all along I acted dumb or in denial that people are the way they’ve already shown themselves to be, and so I’m continually surprised by the negative effects. So my resolution is to act smarter from the get-go. To admit that I know what I already know, and avoid nasty people before things get nasty.
This feels much more “strategic” than I’m comfortable being, but I think it’s a good idea to stretch my comfort zone, give it a good try, and see how it goes…
I resolve to stop second guessing my gut instinct.
Elsa and StephB, I third this notion! It does feel more strategic than I am used to being, but I love strategizing and having a plan. That way I’m prepared for crisis. Or in this case, crappy people.
Interestingly, about a month ago I realized I was surrounded by a lot of negativity coming from other people, and I actively decided to get distance from them. Best decision ever. I feel healthier already.
I resolve to be active and not passive. Creating a strategy is a step in the right direction!
I need to get serious about very specific things.
Last year my goals were:
- to start cooking haute cuisine (I did and I ate a lot of cream, but now I use the Chinese wok more than ever before:)
- to avoid viruses and bacteria (I almost succeeded but I caught H1N1 2 wooks ago)
- to write and blog less (I did, but I started new blogs, sigh…)
So maybe I should give these three another chance in 2010…?
Success in your efforts with avoiding the nasty persons, Elsa (yes, even the thought of them:). Tell me if you found out how to do it!
To keep making good decisions for my future. I’ve been getting the hang of that over the last couple of years and I am going to continue down that path. Saturn is all about the hard lessons, and hard work rewarded, so for me as a Libra it’s head down, work time. Setting myself up with a great future.
