Transit Watch: Mercury Conjunct Pluto Square Saturn – December 7, 2009 – Yow!
My eye on the sky
I ran across this aspect a few days ago when I was writing the forecasts ahead. I deemed it a good day to cut off communication (amputate) and it would also serve well to initiate them. Mercury-ruled Gemini and Virgo will be prominent. That forecast will come up.
Jilly started a thread on the boards about Mercury conjunct Pluto in the 12th house and dreaming. I also have the conjunction in my 12th house and the effects have been profound. I started to write about them but realized I was hijacking her thread so started another (general) thread here: Mercury Conjunct Pluto square Saturn
Today it hit me how I am involved in all these covert communications. It’s like handling explosives or something and I have to say I’ve been told in no uncertain terms I am unfit for such a job.
In whatever case communications are potent and potentially dangerous. I’d also be wary around Mercury stuff like trains and cars and cell phones.
Lots of underhanded dealings… the Tiger Woods situation is a good example what I’m talkin’ about.

I heard on the radio that a baby was born on a Southwest Airlines flight over Denver. That seems like Mercurial tranformation. 
Crap! I have to present my web-based professional portfolio on Monday to the class and the teacher that I am NOT getting along with. I’m struggling to respect him, and he tends to be a bad communicator and kinda rude inter-personally.
*sigh*
Any advice on how to cope with this? Every assignment I’ve turned in all quarter, he has found the nastiest nit-picky things to complain about, and our relationship has degraded to the point where I hardly show my face anymore.
I can’t imagine this presentation going swell.
The 7th? Isn’t that the very first day of the political meeting in Copenhagen (the Climate Conference)? Combinations of Mercury, Saturn and Pluto in a chart (IMO) refer to strategic thinking and communications (a euphemism perhaps), like with checkons and politics. Maybe this combination refers to political decissions (Mercury-Pluto) being blocked or restricted. Or maybe it just is reflecting the importance of the political or deep discussions in general. And with Saturn square a Mercury-Pluto conjunction you might have to take care not to make mistakes when you have a dispute. On the other hand: maybe it just makes you afraid of difficult communications…and then you will be more careful than ever, being warned by this transit:)

This has worked in my favour–some instructors are terrible within a group setting and very helpful one on one. At least you know before hand what they’re going to nitpick about and you feel less of a target…

HA! I’ve got all of you beat… I’m having my solar return that day (Born the 8th but the sun hits it’s r.degree on the 7th)
This gives me a chart with the Conjunction in the 7th house… Saturn in the 4th…

kash, that is GREAT advice, I will definitely use it. That’s really a positive and proactive way to handle it too.
My presentation went okay today, I was very prepared, and I think I headed him off well by anticipating questions or criticisms (I knew where my design was both weak and strong). I also poured over everything he wrote about the assignment and listed off the topics he wanted to hear that I had thought about to make sure I didn’t talk about topics that didn’t match what he was looking for.
Strangest thing is, this is the most prepared I’ve ever been to present in two years, and that preparation and time constraint (only 4.5 mins!) made me nervous, so my voice was shakey!! My friend said afterwards, “That’s weird, you always get up there and belt it out.”
