today was a hard day. came to work to find out one of my friends was hit by a semi truck last night on his bicycle. he’s alive but at this point mangled beyond belief and has blood on his brain (he had a helmet on).
another friend’s family member committed suicide.

it makes me think of how precious life is and i really don’t want to miss a thing.

48hrs ago, a sweet friend of ours in another continent lost her one year long battle with ovarian cancer, age 40, heart of gold, died in her soul mate’s arms..he called us four hours later, distraught..then wrote the account of her last hours in what is the most moving email we’ve ever read .. sigh… life is so incredibly precious and yes, a reminder to do what it takes to make it the best it can be.
