Legacy: The 8th House In Astrology – Provocative But Factual
Astrology in real life
Back on the theme of the 8th house being concerned with legacy, a person does not necessarily have to be dead to have their legacy handled by an 8th house person. As a fast example my sister, Annalisa, has written a number of posts for this blog. She writes about celebrities and fashion in a way that empowers women and if she dies tomorrow, she will have left a legacy entrusted with her sister’s packed 8th house.
If you think about it all the people who have stormed off this blog have also left their legacy here. They spew all over and if you pay close attention you will notice that every time this happens my blog goes up.
I realize that is a provocative thing to say but it is factual and if you can’t understand it you will never understand the 8th house… or Scorpio for that matter.
to be continued.

user – there are so many over such a long period of time I don’t think I could make a blanket statement on that but my general answer would be no, they are not 8th house / Scorpio types.
My 8th house is empty – (poor me) – but my daughter has Sun/Mercury conjunct in Sagittarius in her 8th. I do think this is what has enabled her to always communicate verbally in spite of her autism/expressive language disorder.
My son has Moon in Pisces in the 8th house – I used to think sometimes when he was a kid, well, I don’t know, but he would say things that made me think he was still in touch with a past-lifetime he had(?) As he got older, this went away, and my son is a perfectly normal teenager in college, but he would sometimes say stuff like “my other family”, and I would ask him what other family, but he didn’t elaborate (he was around 3 at the time.) Also both my kids have 12th house planets (my 12th is empty as well) My son has Jupiter in the 12th, and my daughter her Moon. Sorry, this has nothing to do with people storming off your blog, lol.
so are you saying something like the eighth house has the ability to rise higher through absorbing/transmuting others’ negative projections/energy?
or something?
i know it ends up making me stronger… when i actually process them…
No, I would not phrase it or characterize it that way. I am not an “eagle” as they say, in any way shape or form. I don’t even aspire to that actually.
I don’t understand how this would be provocative. That’s the least provocative stuff coming from the 8th by my book.
Maybe I have 8th house colored lenses, along w/ Neptune colored lenses cuz I’m confused as to what to do with the legacies sitting in my lap, I dont feel up to the responsibility, some of it has become energy clutter for me. I would love to pass them on to someone or some organization who could put them to good use or make them available to the public. Somehow they are all art or art related. I have Taurus planets in the 8th, oppose Neptune in 2, square Saturn in the 5th. N Node in the 11th. Yep.
Actually there are some good stuff in there also, I very much enjoy. But again, I’m uncertain about how to share it.
yeah, thought it was something else… trying to wrap my head around what you’re getting at….
because mostly i get deflated. takes effort to mix that stuff up into something else. a need for thicker skin… but that’s part of how it helps, i think… learning when i really shouldn’t take something someone else says or does as a reflection on me….
I have My natal Sun and Merc are in the 8th, but I don’t really identify with the 8th house or Scorpio. In fact I think it is an evil and horrid sign, I was once engaged to a Scorpio man and he was the most bitchy person I have ever met
I don’t understand why people make such a fuss over them – don’t encourage them, that’s what I say
People often remark on how placid and easy going I am. I am not intense and I am not possesive at all. I am not vindictive or sneaky in any way.
Neither am I involved in the handling of anyones money.
However, I am paranoid and think everything is some sort of conspiracy and I don’t trust anyone, so maybe that is my 8th house Sun shining through ;P
Having some planets in the 8th is something different from being a plutonian kind of personality. It’s good that you know and fair that you mentioned you don’t aspire to that.
Welcome, em, that is a very good point and important distinction. I have really never had the idea or feeling I could or would want to sore like an eagle in my life. Matter of fact, the idea nearly makes my skin crawl so clearly is remote from my place or purpose or destiny.

Are the people spewing 8th house/Scorpio people? Because people storm off of blogs and flame all over the internet (anywhere there is an internet community of any size), so I’m thinking perhaps they themselves have this influence as well (albeit not handling it in a good way)?
