Ah, Johnny Depp, how can you NOT love the man?  Then again, maybe you don’t, there is no accounting for taste, is there?

Johnny dresses as a man of the world but more so, Johnny dresses for what he is doing and adds his bit of Gemini color to everything he wears. With a Sun in Gemini we get a man who enjoys color but Johnny is actually a very practical dresser. He has planets in Virgo, Taurus and a moon in Capricorn so he plans what he wears to match the day that he his facing. His “character,” is studied and done with purpose that many may not think is behind his dressing.

I happen to have a personal connection to Johnny as we had used the same hairdresser before and so I have had an inside line to him through that. He is really very thoughtful about what he wears, his hair and how he wears it and how he appears in public.

Johnny, with Mars, Uranus and Pluto in Virgo needs his natural fabric and how things feel will be important to him. His wardrobe is also studied by him and with his Capricorn moon in mind, his look is planned and he is dressed for success. A practical man and one who lives very much in his skin, he must be comfortable above all else, rarely do we see Johnny in anything tight or anything over-the-top designed that would take trouble to wear.

As a world traveler and as an Ex-Pat, moving to France, we see more color in his clothing but that is also the style for the “metro-sexual,” and a man who is comfortable in his skin. He cares very much for his wardrobe and one will see that he has numerous ways of appearing.

When Johnny is on the red carpet he will respect the situation with a suit but often have a “twist,” in his look to carry forth his “character actor,” status. This is planned, again, he plans and thinks about his wardrobe and what is next to his skin. When with his rock band, Johnny is in jeans and T’s but usually appeasing his Capricorn moon with a jacket over that or a shirt with a collar.

As I’ve said before, the mark of a well traveled man is the use of accessories and we often see Johnny in scarves and hats. Hat’s are used by character actors as props as well as character dancers. (Which I am.) He will usually appear in a colorful scarf to satisfy his Gemini needs and to make us smile, the spark that he is. Finally, when Johnny is out with his family we see him dressed semi-conservatively with cargoes, or jeans, a shirt, a jacket and again, a scarf, with a nod to his adopted country.

The French are nothing if not creative with their dress and Johnny fits right in there with his ability to wear color and will wear, on occasion, colored pants, which are hard to pull off unless one is comfortable in their skin and sure of who they are. With so much earth in a chart, I find a person to be more sure of who they are on the planet with relation to everyone and everything else here.

Lastly, Johnny keeps his hair, for the most part, longer which is what works with his face. Having the square face that he does he knows from experience and professional hairdressers that his hair will appear more current and be most flattering with some length and that works for him. Johnny is a family man now but I submit that Johnny was always a committed fellow. If we trace back to the days where he had his love’s name tattooed on his body to show his commitment we can see that we indeed have an earthy man who dresses in a very earthy way.
