The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse In Aquarius On August 5th…

August 1st, 2009 @ 9:06 pm by Elsa

My eye on the sky

full moonIf you ask me, it looks like a non-event compared to the current sky.

The Moon, Venus, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto are all tied up in a jarring grand cross right now and I can barely believe the range of pain and strife, blocks and shocks I have come across over these last couple days. Even the people who have escaped trauma have no doubt been exposed.

I talked to someone today in excruciating cancer-level pain. The suffering was plain in her voice and if you are anywhere near it you are going to feel this.

It is a big lesson in not pawning it off on the other guy because if you actually manage to be the only one not suffering, it won’t get you very far.

I know a lot of people around here are under all kinds of stress and pressure and I just don’t want them worried about the moon.

Moon in Aquarius opposing the Sun in Leo, perhaps we will be unexpectedly entertained. Er… we can just call this the Sacha Baron Cohen Full Moon, it’s really not that serious. Hiking in Iran is though so keep this in mind.

Hi Elsa, Happy Lunar Eclipse to you and yours and to All!

Wondering why your title here is Full Moon in Leo…is this from 2009? Clicked in from Technorati so i’m not certain…i’m thinking of the Lunar Ecl of Aug 5, 2009 (US) @14AQ.

The full moon will be conjunct my natal moon (12’51) in my first house and opposed to my natal Mars in the 7th (7’38) and they are both square to my venus – uranus conjunction in my tenth.

My natal venus is also opposed to chiron in my fourth which is square the mars. I’m not sure what the eclipse will bring but it looks interesting! I have been on-off with someone for months and think that this may provide some closure. I can’t tell whether it will be positive or negative at this point.

Really? Wow…that explains a lot. On the plus side, my taurus self has been feeling the push to GET OUT AND GET THINGS DONE NOW!!! Which, I usually sort of disperse my duties throughout the week. I’m even working overtime and fine with it- very strange for me.

This was my impression of this lunar eclipse too, Elsa. The Sun & Moon only have a mild waning aspect from Mars and sorta sit outside the rest of the chart. We’re catching a break with this one for a change.

More of a surgical strike eclipse than otherwise. If we have a bit of unfinished business that we NEED to take care and a planet or Angle at 12-14 degrees in fixed signs, then by god we better get it done! Those of us like myself who have a preponderance of fixed signs can be good at procrastination. LOL

Thanks, Neith. People are scared to death right now and I guess I could have done a better job on this but what I meant to say was discern (Virgo) around fear (Saturn).

Hiking in Iran is VERY DANGEROUS as is walking into cages with tiger and bears. This eclipse is not.

Thanks Elsa & Neith. We’ve been completing long overdue projects around here like crazy lately. Good to know we are getting in under the wire.

I’m a bit curious to see if anything happens worth mentioning. The last eclipse happened in my 6th house of work. The day after the eclipse, 2 of my co-workers moved out of the department – leaving me in prime position for future advancement.

This week’s eclipse happens across my Asc/Desc. axis – 14 AQU rising. No planets very close to those degrees – unless you count Neptune at 11 Scorpio in the 9th. Hmm. What fun! :)

This is going to hit right at my Sun/Mars at 13 and 15 Leo. (It’s two days before my birthday.) I normally don’t pay too much attention to these things, but with Saturn rapidly heading towards Venus/Pluto, I believe I’m at a turning point. That conjunction is seeing more action than it has in 15 years. (The last transit to it was Saturn in Pisces, and years before that, Saturn/Uranus in Sag.) What’s going to happen next is anyone’s guess.

Elsa,

This period between the past two lunar eclipses the Full Moon in Capricorn/Cancer on the 7th and now this Full Moon in Aquarius/Leo has had profound effect on my life. From loosing a loved one, to beginning a new phase in my life to personal sickness and stress which may be stemming from the greater factors at large as you noted, I was dissappointed to see you downplaying the lunar events. As a Cancer (July 3rd, 78) this is one of the most powerful events that made me take notice that change was in the air!
