With natal Saturn-Mercury conjunct, transiting Saturn in Virgo has restricted my communication skills down to nothing. I’m so cut off it’s actually making me fight to regain my powers to communicate.

Yes, to the point I don’t really talk at all anymore. Though yesterday I had coffee with a heart level friend I don’t see much and it was so nice to talk and laugh and cry and not have to censor. But it was reciprocated, she didn’t have to censor for me either. The most pleasant 2 hours I’ve had in a long time!

You actually hit the nail on the head when you said you would follow the Saturn-in-Virgo rules. Working with Saturn seems to me to be very much like building with legos compared to toy blocks. The lego pieces snap together, they’re relatively sturdy (compared to toy blocks that can collapse on their own), and thinking up things to build is FUN.

In my chart, Saturn is about structure, practice, and decision-making. For me, I can make up my own rules, my own plan, my own structure and as long as I’m consistent, I do well even if I change rules mid-stream (Aquarius Venus conj Capricorn MC, I do what I want).

The motivation you seek is right there – you’re already envious of astrologers who prepare (knowing you’re speaking metaphorically), so use that Saturn in Virgo to smack the heck out of anybody else’s planning. I’m most assuredly no astrologer. What I see in your description, through at least my own Saturnine eyes, is talent in giving Virgo direction. Seems to me you have built-in, natural ability for shaping the Virgo energy into whatever you want.

To me, it seems that successful storytelling would be a very good manifestation of what you describe. Well-done performance of any sort is heavily structured (even improvisational performance) and involves rehearsal. Even storytelling through writing involves rewrites and corrections, edits and proofreading.

Now, about swearing…Saturn might be asking you to decide which of two things you want to get from swearing. Are you wanting expletive release of energy, or to utilize the power of speech to offend? This is just me but I don’t believe I’ve ever known a person to have talent with both uses of blue language. What I mean is that a person who routinely releases energy through blue language rarely offends me with blue language even when that’s his or her intention. Possibly annoy me, oh sure.

Oh I don’t know! Maybe Saturn is just telling you to channel and structure Virgo energy, dig out a riverbed for the water flow. Virgo energy run amuck is a mess. You’re fortunate that Saturn is there to keep the Amazon from flooding.
