“He was good man, not a great man but a good man. We were going through his locker and found a book where he wrote some poems. He probably wrote some poems for some of you bimbos out there…”
The soldier attended a funeral of one of his peers and this is part of the eulogy his commander gave… really.
The soldier couldn’t believe it. The guy’s mother was in the audience.

Well, I guess this piece needed some context or nuance in the voice.
The fact is MARS is abrasive. It is not considerate and the tone in this guy’s voice (as re-told by the soldier) was that he was completely oblivious to what he was saying. The guy was part of way-out-there soldiering and he just didn’t know how to handle something like this, or mix with civilians. It was more funny than anything else. I mean, the guy was not malicious he was just a GUY.
Elsa, funny you should say Mars is abrasive. I’ve been focusing on it’s aspects to Mercury because I noticed I cannot get along with people who have Merc-Mars squared or opposition, because they use every word others say as fighting words and will start drama and arguments over the pettiest things. And if there’s no one talking to them? They seem to be the ones to rant to themselves in a hostile manner to try to instigate others into arguing with them. Not that all people with these aspects are that way (the whole astro thing about how one works with their energies - evolved, not evolved, etc), but more often than not, that’s what I see (I actually know a Merc-Mars squared guy who is usually pleasant till you get him going and that same style comes right out). I even have a dog with Merc-Mars square and he loudly barks at my quieter pup until she fights with him.
I have Mercury in Libra - you can guess how much I welcome verbal battles with no logic in them or are over tiny, irrelevant things.

Oh, that changes things. Gah…what do I say that I’m unaware of?! LOL
Tam - :::laughs:: it is my fault no yours. But yeah the guy was just up their talking like this was okay shit to say. The soldier (and others) didn’t know what to do. Interrupt him? Tell him to shut the fuck up? Go up there and tackle him? Act like he didn’t just say that?
What they wound up doing was trying realllll hard to keep a straight face.
