Quirk Of The Capricorn Type – A Story: Low People In High Places

Astrology in real life

capricorn goatI told this story to satori and she liked it. I asked her why she liked it because I have no perspective on such a thing and I was contemplating writing it for my blog. “I don’t know,” she said. “It’s very evocative…”

I was satisfied with that I guess because now I am going to tell you.

I’d forgotten about this, my sister brought it up. We were talking about the innate class we both have. It’s in us, all right. We both have exquisite taste though how we got it is… well it’s hard to understand.

Scott told me something similar awhile back. He told me in spite of the shortcomings (which I am primarily made up of) I have always had taste. He specifically said I could judge talent. Scott has an Aquarius Moon and always liked having a girlfriend from the other side of the tracks.

“Elsie, you didn’t know the first thing about music but if I played you recordings of two famous artists playing the same music you would know which one had the superior talent. Most people can’t do that…”

It was a hell of a compliment because Scott is a connoisseur of music. I hope I don’t get this number wrong but as an example I think he has recordings of 63 different pianists playing one piece of music. He likes to scrutinize, compare and contrast the playing but anyway, I have a knack for winding up places I have no business being – high places and I’ll tell you how far this goes back.

I loved the skirt you showed on the blog yesterday and it said very good taste to me. Though you don’t hear about it much don’t Capricorns have a thing for music anyway?

Diane, I don’t associate Cap with music, it is Neptune ruled. But I do have Venus sq Neptune which def gives sensitivity (for good and ill in the case of the square!!!)

It goes both ways for me…but drawn to low places too. Drawn to high brow, but gotta get an occasional smoke and a pool game in too. Love ballet, but not averse to strip clubs. Like classical and punk alike. Is that Gemini? Libra that can’t decide? Anyway, can’t wait to hear more!

No doubt Neptune traditionally is associated with music and this is just one example, but my husband is a very gifted musician [esp. classical guitar] and he’s told me it’s been his experience that Capricorns [who he attracts like flies] seem to be able without fail to feel his music more than most. I can relate cause I’m one of them. Anyway that and few things I’ve read to substantiate were really my only bases for saying what I did.

I like the idea and often wondered because Iwhen I was younger I had piano lessons and then quit after some time and did not pick it back up until a couple of years ago and my instructor has commented several times about the ease I have with playing the notes…hearing them and distinguishing them. I thought that came down from my 2nd uncle on my mother’s side who has an ear for music…didn’t know it was a capricorn thing.

Capricorn Sun and very musical – play piano, violin. Perfect pitch, and find it easiest to learn or produce anything to music- I paint best and can learn reams of words to music. I was told recently by a professional musician that my ability to hold a rhythm with a drum is actually a very difficult thing to do (?). I never had to learn any of these things. Oh, and I’ve no head for business,I’m not ambitious or rich or status conscious….

Of course you’re talking about class really, not music which is definitely Capricornish – viz. Cary Grant, Faye Dunaway and the like.

Hearing belongs to Saturn and Capricorn – I read that somewhere (somewhere impressive, only I forget who, exactly) years ago. Makes sense, because earbones, and eardrum, providing hearing.

I’ve been taking it for granted ever since (along with knees, and bones, generally).

I’ve been told the same thing, about art and music, also. Most recently by a friend of mine who is a concert pianist. I’m Capricorn rising, as well, and also have Venus square Neptune.

I have a stellium in Cap inc Venus conjunct my Sun, and I find bad taste almost unbearable. It’s so chronic there are many places I just can’t bear to go (and supermarkets are a real problem lol)

I do agree Caps tend to have a lot of class – appearances are important to us (not always in the conventional sense), and so is acting and looking appropriate. That’s another way of describing ‘class’ I guess
