The soldier is a (the) man in Elsa’s life with a fantastic sense of humor and a way with words!
The soldier is a rough, threatening ex-special forces soldier who is kind, well-mannered and loves Elsa completely. Much like, as he says, a rhino with a balloon tied to its nose.
He’s a rhino. And, he will fuck your shit up if he needs to.
The soldier is Mr. Darcy in “Pride and Prejudice” and Elsa is Elizabeth. Elsa is going to marry him the second time!

Little bit John Wayne (does whats right), Rhett Butler (all male), and Paul Newman (loves one woman all his life). Least that’s how I imagine him 
The Soldier is Ricky to Elsa’s Lucy. He Loves Lucy!

He saved Dora, the googly-eyed dog, he loves Elsa and her kids, has a wonderful sense of humor and I believe does not like to chat with naked men in the sauna. Occasionaly talks like a hayseed just for fun, and has met all kinds of people from all walks of life.
He’s also a genius that frequently masquerades as a hayseed. He works hard and has his whole life. life has been rough on him, but he’s gotten by, and Saturn has at least corrected one wrong: He’s with Elsa again!
And he can’t stand the gals who just chit-chat at the gym, (or to him at the Laundromat if I recall….?
One of my favorite soldier stories was the one where his brother spilled food on himself to avoid talking to women on the prowl at a bar.
He also loves cookies.
To put it simply, a good, honest, honorable man. What more could a woman want? You’re a lucky lady Elsa!

From what I have read.. a very honorable, opinionated and intelligent man, and when you related about Dora’s life melding into his is when I knew he is a unique man.
A Taurus with a Rhino’s plate metal skin, that shelters all the very sensitive esoteric stuff that only the privileged few are allowed to see. All in all a keeper!! >:P
