His Scorpio Moon and My 8th House Under The Scorpio Moon – Suffering
Astrology in real life
Last night, the soldier and I were watching The Count of Monte Cristo
…
“We like these classics because we have classic lives ourselves,” he explained
“What do you mean?”
“You don’t think our lives are classic?”
I shrugged.
“Well they are. You have to get into the grit of life,” he said. “We have experienced that.”
“Everyone’s life is not classic?”
He laughed. “They wish.”
I didn’t say anything because I didn’t really understand.
“Suffering,” he said. ‘Look at Dora. Has she not had a classic life? She’s not a Shih Tzu. That dog has lived. She’s got some stories she could tell, she’s one of kind.”
At that point I understood.

I can look to my cat in a similar way… only she’s fat, destroys stuff, and sometimes goes berserker. she is loyal though, and when I need her she always shows up. she does kind of reflect me.
I’m pretty sure my life isn’t a classic, but I like it. I’m not quite a shitzu. Probably an alley cat. Your average run of the mill, little bit beat up but still pretty comfy north american alley cat. I’m glad I’ve been a bit beat up and that I’ve had my ears chewed on a bit, but I’m also glad to have stayed pretty comfy.
“So classic = drama?”
No, I’d say he meant pain and suffering that is extraordinary, pronounced and prolonged.

Yes,…the more one goes through suffering in their life or experiences true grit, where it takes all you’ve got just to keep plugging, I think the less tolerant you are of injustices of any kind and at the same time because one has “seen” so much, there is something akin to an old weary soldier, one who has seen the horrors, and yet at the same time, the miracles of life.
You learn to appreciate the beauty that life really is.
