Emotional Damage: Are Some More Prone Than Others?

January 27th, 2009 @ 8:24 pm by Elsa

Ask the collective

moonTonight the soldier made a comment that intrigued me. He said he suffered no emotional damage in his various relationships with women. He specified there were only three women/girls who had an impact on his being. The little Plaintain selling girl, a woman he was involved with briefly when he was young (regret) and he said he pined over me but he also said I did no emotional damage. He said if I had been cruel or had no conscience (when we were young) there probably would have been damage but I wasn’t.

I thought this was remarkable because I very readily suffer emotional damage. I would say it has been common in my life and it has been severe.

The Soldier And The Crackhead

January 27th, 2009 @ 5:59 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

crack.jpgThe soldier is in Maryland parked on the street next to another truck that is broken down. The other truck has 2 drivers and he may have to let them into his truck tonight so they don’t freeze to death because their truck won’t run to warm the cab. He says they are “filthy bastards, neither of them have any teeth,” but never mind that, at the moment he has to go to sleep.

“So you’re just going to go to sleep and leave those guys?”

Demystifying Astrology: The Gylphs or Symbols Of The Signs And Planets

January 27th, 2009 @ 4:04 pm by Elsa

Astrology for beginners

astrology-runes.JPG“I don’t know what all this stuff is,” says the beginner, feeling overwhelmed.

Can you learn astrology without memorizing the table below? No. That would be like learning to read of write with no alphabet. If you are new to this and don’t know this basic info – print this out and use it as a cheat sheet. You simply cannot go forward without it.

trick.jpgThe soldier referred to me today as, “Elsa P, the un-catch-able catch”. He dreams of our showing up at our wedding… and it not going off due my cold feet. This is a perfect expression of the sky right now by the way. Venus is conjunct Uranus in Pisces… I don’t know how you get more “runaway bride” then that and it’s in aspect to Saturn… that would be the fear, or the self control that prevents acting on the impulse to escape.

I really do think we are going to marry but who knows how or when. We seem to have so little to say about what happens in our lives. This is both of us, I mean. For example when I had a baby, never in a million years did I expect it to turn out the way it has and I surely never thought I’d see the soldier again – I had counted him dead for 20 years at least!

Open Question: If You Could Draw Your Own Chart, What Would It Look Like?

January 27th, 2009 @ 8:01 am by Elsa

Ask the collective

zodiac patternsLynne E. asks on Someone Is Weird, Just Not Sure Who:

“!f you could draw your own chart, a new one, rather than what you were born with.. what would it looks like?”

Boy, that’s a good question. It is a well known fact that as much as people complain about their lives, when pushed the wide majority of them say they would not trade their life for another person’s.

Demystifying Astrology: What Is A Natal Chart Anyway?

January 27th, 2009 @ 5:21 am by Elsa

Astrology for beginners

astrology-chart.jpgYou were born, the planets were in the sky. A natal chart is a map of those planets and a freakishly useful key to your life.

What can be gleaned from a natal chart is limitless and this is for good or ill. Plenty of people do themselves in with astrology.

Others try to do other people in with astrology but they will never be successful because this universal language is a gift and if you misuse it or disrespect, eventually you will wind up bereft.

My eye on the sky

business-school.jpgThe Moon is conjunct Neptune in Aquarius but inconjunct Saturn and it won’t like that. Must reality enter every equation these days?

Another thing that seems consistent these days is immaturity is just plain out of style. It’s fine to be cute but you better make a business of it, see?

Ha ha ha

When Venus Is Mashed With Uranus, Someone Is Weird, Just Not Sure Who…

January 26th, 2009 @ 6:07 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

dora-leaving.jpg“Me, Vid, Cluck, Dora, and you,” the soldier said, listing the household members in order of their lack of weirdness.

“What? You’ve got to be kidding me. You think I’m weirder than Dora?”

No response.

“No. You can’t possibly think I am weirder than that dog,” I said as I watched her move around in the back yard, queerly. “Nobody is weirder than Dora,” I added.

“Well she is weird,” he said. “Okay, maybe Dora goes first.’

“Whew!”

2 days later.

Speaking Of Comments on Youtube… Empowering The Individual To Control “Their” Internet

January 26th, 2009 @ 4:31 pm by Elsa

net-energy.jpgYouTube Now Lets You Erase Those Dumb Comments You Regret You Made

“YouTube has always been infamous for the amount of useless comments that videos hosted on the site tend to generate (which is not unusual when it comes to user-generated services that appeal to a massive audience). But those with comment remorse now at least have the option of deleting their dumb and irrelevant responses in just a heartbeat.
