Saturn Opposite Uranus… Freedom vs Oppression: Cry Victim And Become One For Real

gavel-1.jpgSaturn is nearly exactly opposing Uranus and there is a lot of talk of rebelling against the old guard and freedom after oppression. On this blog I’ve spent a lot of time writing about the mechanism of the opposition which is what is most interesting to me.

Rare a day goes where I don’t question who is oppressing who, or who is controlling who. Having Libra I can see the positions are interchangeable and I have been really focused on this aspect in terms of relationship. For example I have been on a bloody tear around people’s attempts to control or fix me (Saturn in Virgo) rather than allow me freedom as an individual (Uranus).

They oppress me and I oppress them right back.
They judge me and I judge them right back.

But here’s a new angle, probably even more important. If you think about it, you can’t just have freedom, freedom, freedom and freedom as most people understand. A society has to have rules to function and an individual is no different.

I talk all the time about controlling YOURSELF as opposed to bothering others but specific to this opposition it begs you set limits on your own freedoms. For example, you have the freedom to screw your sister’s husband but perhaps you opt to restrict yourself.

The sky favors this right now – the idea of coming up with a personal code of conduct. It’s the old, just because you CAN does not mean you should.

There is a lot of talk of the government restricting our freedom and rightly so because you can see it closing in from all directions but must we be victims (dark side of Pisces)?

To transcend (Pisces) at this time, you’ve got to restrict and control yourself (Saturn) as an individual and if enough people do this, maybe we won’t need big brother.

In other if you words if you cry, “There is nothing I can do,” pretty soon you’ll find this to be reality… and I mean for REAL.

Yes! Yesterday I was down, down, down—with feelings of failure, futility, and fear. But today while I was driving along a line of thought popped out of nowhere: what if, I asked myself, you are doing (and did) the best you can? what if your take on things is not quite the whole truth, and you’re really on the right path? Just the process of asking the questions lifted my spirits and ignited my imagination. Something about taking responsibility for my own happiness… it’s an unfolding story I guess.

After an extremely oppressive week, this thought popped into my head on Thursday and gave me a new sense of relief and freedom:
