dora-fetal-sm.jpgJilly asks regarding the contrast between Elizabeth Fritzl and Elizabeth Smart:

“Is that the difference, ultimately, with a natal aspect & a transiting aspect?”

Jilly, I would say it is. Consider this woman who lost 7.3 million courtesy the Madoff ponzi scheme… she is now cleaning toilets and states if she sees a nickle on the street, she picks it up.

West Goshen widow’s riches-to-rags story

That is a life event and while reversal of fortune might be shown in her chart along with supreme adaptability because her attitude in regards to her circumstance is remarkable, she is never going to be someone who grew up picking up nickles off the street.

Er… it reminds me of my (step) sister in law. She may have wound up naked in a cave but she was from upper class society and you could also tell this… sort of like you can always tell that I am from the desert.

It’s sort of like Dora. She is always going to her way around a banana leaf and she is always going to think differently about food than Cluck who has never missed a meal in his life.

To ignore this or to deny it is one of the things that makes no sense to me but most everyone does it.

Here is another example:

Miss World finalist had her hands and feet amputated – after contracting a killer bug, according to reports.

Very different then being born without hands and feet.

I think that is one thing that creeps me out about collectivism/socialism – that it ignores/denies this (among other things).

There is never ever going to be an even playing field. Just isn’t.

Jilly your comment reminds me of something my Dad (Libra Sun/Taurus Moon) always says, which is ‘there are always people you’re going to have to look after.’

My father grew in Haiti… in total poverty and hardships. He learned the hard way and made the best of every opportunity he got (Saturn-Pluto conjunct ASC). Went to school to obtain a degree in engineering and now, he moved to Canada and he’s a boss at his company. He NEVER expected to be a boss one day.. he just wanted to leave Haiti and all the hardships of living in a poor country. When he had me, he raised me with a tough mentality (I have 5th house Saturn-Pluto trine Sun, ASC, MC and square Mercury).. I almost feel like I grew in Haiti myself!! I could take care of myself at a young age (although my mother’s mental instability probably also played a role in that!!)
He taught to never take anything for granted and to make the best of every situation possible. He used to say: “You are born alone and you will die alone… so count on yourself” Even if you have a twin brother or sister, you are still alone! You are an individual and I stand out no matter what so make the best of it!! He’s an Aquarius and so am I!!! ;-)
