Mercury in Aquarius – Try Not To Squash Your Own Innovative Ideas

Astrology in real life

Aquarius vintageI am going to try to explain this Mercury in Aquarius thing… also applicable to Mercury in aspect to Uranus or Uranus transits to Mercury in any form.

The ideas you have during these times are very bright but incredibly fleeting. It’s like grabbing bits of information traveling at light speed. Good luck! You may see them them there but by the time you can think to grab the thing and ground it, it may already be too late.

If you do get the idea from the sky, grounding it is the next challenge because it’s apt to be ahead of it’s time and I mean WAY ahead of it’s time as in 7 years or more. And when you start talking about things 7 years in advance of the pack… well people react! Some say you are crazy… others just get pissed. Isn’t there a famous quote out there about squashing innovation? If not, how about Einstein?

“Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocre minds…”

He’s a good example of what I am talking about. Can you imagine all they buzzed by that he did not grab and ground? I bet the percentage of what he was able to grab as it relates to what was there was probably like what you can fit on the head of a pin in relation to the size of the ocean. There is just that much information out there but I am telling you, it is QUICK. You only get the glimpse and if you don’t grab it’s gone.

Take the psychopath book. I picked it up and thought was this… exactly this: “No use to read this, there is nothing in it, you’re done, Elsa.”

That’s it. That was all and I dropped the book in response. I decided to act on the byte of info rather than mull it around or override it. “Well I’ve read everything else, I might as well read this,” which I think would be a more common response.

This other requires you change your thinking in an instant but if you can do this, you will get to your future much faster. You will also enjoy liberation as just think about it. What if I were plodding through that book right now? Well I’m not. Instead my mind is 7 years out and that psychopath stuff is like “back when I was on the bottle” as in baby bottle, LOL. It is that antiquated, see?

You can do this too but you have got to mind these blips. Especially with Jupiter involved… windows that lead to freedom are opening all over the place but if you don’t go through them then you don’t go through them and know this:

Even people who are adept at going through them still miss 99.9%. Pretty incredible I’d say.

Elsa, I had this experience the other day and I really can’t express all that I processed. But basically, it centered around the feeling–the KNOWING— that I am done trying to understand and process what happened with my ex-partner, who could sometimes be astonishingly cruel. I started to read something with an eye yet again toward trying to UNDERSTAND (blah blah blah) and all it did was make me feel bored and miserable. I knew in an instant I was done. My 8th house tendencies make me hang on, and on, and on.. but boy, the upside is I KNOW when I am done. I also will say, in the day before and after this happened, I had conversations with two people (one of whom was my aging father) who confided deep secrets and I felt tremendous compassion and privelege to be let in in this way, and I knew in an instant these sort of things would be continuing on into the future. It’s always been that way – people sharing shadow stuff with me – and something I’ve been kind of afraid of. I’m hoping I will finally be able to handle this – power? – wisely from now on. I don’t know if this has anything to do with what you wrote here. Only to say that these realizations have been fleeting but powerful. I’m trying to grasp and ground. I’m so grateful I can share this here – lots of folks would not understand. Thanks.

i have merc/uranus aspect, and this is a very apt description of what it feels like when i hit “the zone.” it’s electric, fleeting and FAST! very hard to keep up, and challenging to capture some of the activity before it’s dissipated into something else.

I’ve had lots of flashes for new song ideas lately, and the ones that I write down are the only ones that I remember about 2 minutes later. There are little notes and song titles and bits of song written on scraps of paper, backs of envelopes, pages of books and magazines, and scattered all around the house. Well, at least they are written down Somewhere!

And I have 1400 blogs in my head / fingers and don’t know which ones to produce and have to hurry or they leave.

Plus it makes me look crazy (I fear) when what does come out seems jerky from one post to the next…

there their are the complaints when the writing is not perfect and I’ve got the class going on and blah blah. It’s quite stressful but the ideas… they really are magnificent. I am sure of this, unfortunately I can only translate so much, so well.

As always it’s a heroic effort… as if I have a choice because if I did have a choice, like I said – I WOULD QUIT!! :-)

I feel so out of this for some reason – I have been dragging, literally, just forcing myself to get done what I have to. I could use a flash of anything right now……

I am kind of struggling with this, actually, even though I have Merc/Uranus. I’m pretty insecure these days and it is hard to get a grip on it. I guess it’s a Pluto thing.
I get these dumb ideas…regarding my self-worth or whatever. I try really hard to turn it around but. I guess it’s Pluto in aspect to my natal Merc/Chiron conjunction. I don’t know. I’m constantly 2″ away from being comitted to the loony bin.

I had a flash of inspiration for something right as I was waking up yesterday, but I’ve forgotten what it was and have been kicking myself since!

this is inordinately useful insight for me. like mindblowing. explains my weird opposition so clearly. and how it works….. putting words to instincts always makes it easier for me to work with them.

ok. lots to think about now… ;)

I have Mercury in Aquarius, so all this stuff is pretty much business as usual to me… :)
