- Climbing the same mountain 127 times, over a 50 year window, last assent at 83 years old.
- A vegetarian, from the early fifties until he died
- Attending flying saucer conventions
- Oldest person in the 20 mile walkathons year, after year, after year
- Taking me to meet Peace Pilgrim
- Living in a three bathroom, no bedroom house.
- Building an underground house.
- Coaxing the #2 ranked ping pong player in China to his house to play a few games on his homemade adobe ping pong table.
- Having his truck stolen by me.
- Keeping a carbon copy of every bit of correspondence he wrote for more than 50 years, personal or otherwise.

Astrology And Movies… Venus Neptune

December 26th, 2008 @ 5:30 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

rocky-and-adrian.jpgBesides all the Capricorn, Venus is currently conjunct Neptune and we can’t forget about that. Boundaries in relationship are very poor at the moment, there is a (collective) tendency to pine or perhaps feel a victim.

So there’s that but the same energy concerned love (Venus) movies (Neptune)…

“I don’t like watching love movies,” the soldier said with Rocky playing in the background. “I never have.”

“Why not?”

hayseed.jpgsatori and I had a conversation today about people who have a compulsive need for attention. I have been accused of this because of my blogging (though it’s been awhile) however I believe it’s a projection.

In whatever case we wound up discussing the recent conflict on this blog when you-know-who was sliced, diced and tossed by me But here’s what you don’t know….

That person posts under multiple ids on this blog and he (she) has for years. I say “she” because some of the characters are women. I caught on to this a long time ago but said nothing. If you think it’s wrong of me to say something now… well let’s get our heads on straight.

December 26th, 2008 @ 12:54 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

rockyii_still1.jpg“P, get in here and watch this!” the soldier yelled. I never watch tv. “Come on, he’s proposing to her,” he yelled. “He’s going to propose!”

I walking into the living room and glanced at the tv. I did not want to watch movie because I was way to emotional as it was.

“And she not sayin’ no!” he said smugly.

Ambition – It’s Not A Dirty Word! New Moon in Capricorn, December 27, 2008

December 26th, 2008 @ 12:16 pm by Elsa

Ask the collective

wall_l.jpgY’all know I love to challenge conventional (and incorrect) interpretation of of terms or concepts. Ambition is one of these words. People assign the word ambition a negative connotation which makes no sense at all. They confuse ambition with things completely unrelated such as greed or backstabbing or being money hungry and the like. Can a person not be ambitiously trying to feed the world? Of course they can. So with that established check this out:

Tomorrow the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Pluto will all be in Capricorn the sign that rules ambition. I can’t think of a better time to define yours. Just what it is you are trying to do? What is your GOAL?

Astrology Today: Reckless Or Responsible Communication…

December 26th, 2008 @ 6:10 am by Elsa

My eye on the sky

capricornThe Moon is conjunct Mars in Sagittarius (and Pluto in Caprocorn) while Mercury is conjunct Jupiter and it gives me the impression people want to blurt things out. They want to say way they really think or tell you what is really going on but Saturn in Mecury’s sign, Virgo and all the action in Capricorn force restraint. In short, people are afraid.

They don’t want to lose their jobs, they don’t want to lose their friends, their family or whatever they have that that supports them so only the truly reckless are acting out the big mouth thing and I suppose this is a gift and a curse.

On one hand (says Libra) people should have some level of decorum but on the other hand there is potential to have energy back up on you and consequently pervert.

This can be resolved for the most part by acting the high side of Saturn. Ask yourself if it is responsible to say the thing you are about to say and if you can satisfy this criteria you should have no problems at all.

Astrology Today: Christmas… For Those Struggling

December 24th, 2008 @ 3:55 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

my-little-pony.jpgI want to say something about Christmas but so many people struggle this time of year I just hate to put something up here that drives them down deeper. Let’s face it. It cold and many people are lonely. It’s fine if you’re not, either because you have people around or because you just don’t have the lonely gene but others people do and I know a few of them.

Today I heard this shocking communication:

“… it’s Christmas, you’re a kid, you want to have a good time. Everything is going well but then at some point Dad (or Mom) has too many drinks… he throws the turkey, he does this he does that… and all hell breaks loose…”

2_great_depression.jpgRegarding Pluto’s transition from Sagittarius to Capricorn I wrote:

““The babies born today are being born with Pluto in Capricorn not Sagittarius. They are being born to reality rather than prosperity.”

Yesterday I was on the phone with the soldier…

“An investor killed himself yesterday because he lost over a billion dollars courtesy, Bernard Madoff. I guess he just didn’t want to live without money,” I said.

“Yeah, they were doing that in the depression too. Killing themselves.”

“I can’t see it.”

“Me neither.”

If you were suddenly forced to live on much less than you do now, could you cope? What if conditions were the worst you’ve ever faced? Where is Saturn in your chart?
