Astrology And Movies… Venus Neptune

Astrology in real life

rocky-and-adrian.jpgBesides all the Capricorn, Venus is currently conjunct Neptune and we can’t forget about that. Boundaries in relationship are very poor at the moment, there is a (collective) tendency to pine or perhaps feel a victim.

So there’s that but the same energy concerned love (Venus) movies (Neptune)…

“I don’t like watching love movies,” the soldier said with Rocky playing in the background. “I never have.”

“Why not?”

“They make me feel bad. I’d see one now and then throughout my life and I’d always think I loved a girl once…”

I stared. “You’d really think that?” I asked.

“Yeah. And I thought love had just passed me by. I was just not going to be something I’d ever have.”

“Wrong.”

“Yep.”

“These days I actually think we’re going to be together a long time. That is I don’t think we’re going to get sick or be killed or anything. I think we’re going to be together and just get old from here.”

“That sounds good to me.”

Can it be this simple? Apparently it can.

And by the way, that’s pretty much how we look, ‘cept he’s full of shrapnel. You just wouldn’t put us together until you see us together and then you go, ohhhhhhh.

Is there a movie about your love… or lack of it? Where is your Venus?

*sigh* Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. My (soon to be) ex husband is totally like Joel’s character and I am like Clementine.

Though I think one of the reason’s the movie appeals to me is because it’s not a straight up love story.. it’s very nonlinear. If it was a straight up chick flick I’d be bored to tears.

Venus Aquarius

No films about me. I’m the heroine’s snarky best friend, not the heroine myself.

Well, my husband’s and my all time favorite love story movie is “Moonstruck” so I guess we are both kind of kooky, but we have seen that movie about a hundred times and I would watch it again if it were on right now lol. I have Venus in Leo, he has Venus in Saggi.

I haven’t seen/noticed a film yet that represents my husband and I. I don’t watch a lot of romantic movies either. Usually only if they’re comedy as well. I like to laugh and feel better when I watch something, not end up being mopey and moody.

Someone once said that I am like Enid in “Ghost World” and my BF is like the Seymour character. I think this is an unflattering generalization or caricature of our relationship but it’s sort of true in a funny way. We both have Venus in Aries. We don’t watch romantic movies together except the fantasy/fairy-tale type (eg, Tarzan, King Kong…)

the sound of music is the reason i have such idealistic expectations. i expect every captain von trapp to ditch the blonde baroness for (me) the poor nun who changes everyone’s life with her magical voice and charm and goodwill and naivete. the kids love her, the captain can’t keep his eyes off her, the baroness is jealous of her, the nuns don’t get her…

venus in libra here.

Is this a bad time to fall in love? ‘Cause I was struck by the elusive thunderbolt tonight.

Details later, if you want ‘em. :-)

Um,not sure…but I never watch horror movies or zombie movies or vampire movies. I like stuff that makes me cry.

I just watched Brokeback Mountain…oy that twisted my heart to hell and back. :(
It seemed very Venus/Neptune. I could relate to all that pining and sadness.

Venus in Libra; I’ve told people often that [one of] my favorite film(s) is “They Might be Giants” with George C. Scott. It’s from about 1972. Nowadays, whenever I see films from the 60′s, or 70′s, I often see them as being very thin storywise, screenplay-wise. I saw “Giants” again about 10 years ago and felt that way, but the concept was still great. I mentioned this to a young woman I met in a CC course I took 4 years ago, and she thought I was refering to a band that is/was currently popular.

Other than that, though I’m a guy, I love so-called “chick flicks.” Love most of them, that is. I have a 4th house moon, and I’m neither Ennis nor Jack, I’m more like, er, Bruce. But he wasn’t in that film, was he.

The Good Girl really struck a nerve with me, but so did another Jennifer Anniston movie…The Break Up.

Not yet…but I imagine in about 15 more years it would be something like “The Story of Us” with Michelle Phiefer and Bruce Willis.

A movie I don’t relate to much, but is one of my all time favorite love stories is “Urban Cowboy” with John Travolta. I think it’s the Texan in me.

I avoid romantic movies now because I doubt that crap is real. Maybe when I’m older it’ll be that Barbara Streisand movie with Kirt Russell in which she just lives with somebody for “companionship.” I mean, it’s cute, whatev…Venus in Cancer in 11th, Opp. Neptune, opp. jupiter, square moon, but trine mars pluto and saturn, so wtf.

You and the soldier are so cute, as you’ve probably heard before. But I had to say it also.

well, when we saw Enchanted, my husband said that was us and I was Giselle. I don’t know how “true to life” his assessment was, but I think it was about the sweetest thing I can remember having said to me.

My Venus is in Scorpio, though… maybe some Neptune got mixed in…
