“We’re taking Dora shopping,” I told the soldier on the phone. “She’s getting new clothes courtesy a gal who reads my blog.” (Thanks PixieDust)
“Are taking her to Petsmart so she can smell some butts?” he asked.
“Yeah. Yeah, I guess I am, did she do that in there?”
“She liked it, that’s for sure. She saw all kinds of dogs in there – never seen anything like it in her life.”
“Well I am going to get her decked out because her other outfit, while lovely with it’s pearl buttons, it’s falling off her. It’s way too big, she’s swimming in it. And she is still losing hair like crazy, I take off these clothes and they’re just covered in hair.”
“Probably was those pills she was taken.”
“Yeah, well you’re not kidding it’s like she’s been through chemo or something. Anyway, she’s goin’ shopping and we’re all very happy. Want to say hi to her?”
No, I’m not talking to her.”
“Oh come on.”
“Okay, put her on.”
I held the phone to her ear and heard him do his call. “Hey, UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-Ty!” (short for Cute Kitty) Ha ha ha
Dora has never really been to town… lived in the city so first Halloween and now she gets to go shopping for outfits. I think this is cooool. I also think Dora must have Capricorn because as it turns out the end of her life is the best. That, and she can wear tweed really well, LOL.

Totally Capricorn, totally, Dora’s golden years are positively magical…she’s got love, a family and now International fame and noteriety as surely one of the most charming characters on the Internet.
oh gah, do you all remember Mr. Winkle, that impossibly cute pom that was all over the internet about six years ago? he was so cute he didn’t look real. creeped me out, really.

Yes! She is risen to the top in her field from her humble beginnings!
L.C. She is wearing a Sherlock Holmes type tweed number with a flared skirt in back and large pearl buttons as accent on one side.
However it is way to big for her as she weighs just 17 pounds in spite of being pretty tall.
Reminds me of Henry. 6’1″, 145 pound and worked 12 hours a day without a thought.
Okay, both dogs are going to the store but wish me Luck because Cluck is a vomiter. But I just can’t bear the idea of Dora, Vid and I leaving him at home.
I used to go to the petstore with my Littleman.
And in the summer to the postoffice and the jiffylube. He is a very good cat.
He will sit in his basket and just look at me with his big green eyes.
When we went to pet stores, I would put him in a shoe box and then the cart. He would sit up and look at everything. He did not however like greyhound day. LOL…Now he is just to old and scared. His sweaters are starting to get to big for him and his teeth are falling out.
Poor Little Dude…He sleeps with me everynight..
I promised my ailing friend if something happens to him I will take his two kitties.
What would life be without pets….
They are a blast….
Okay, we’re back! Very little at petsmart for her as it turns out. She’s got to have velcro not sweaters because her body hurts in places and she cannot be wrestled around for costume changes so most of the stuff was ruled out right away, plus it was UGLY.
There was a red Jackie O style coat though.. fur collar and all so she got that – very dressy and dignified.
She also got a pink / pink plaid reversible number which looks like a sort of stylish rain coat. She was damned glad because no bath or shot while she was there. I think she could get used to this shopping thing.
Ah ha, so thats why I like tweed? Well not tweed really, but I can’t go past a tartan skirt without wanting it!
Well my cat has stopped eating crunchies…
I know one of his teeth is bothering him.
The vet said we have to just wait because he has high bloodpressure and a heart murmer and surgery is too risky for him. So tommorrow (I read a ton of articles on this) I am going to Petco or petsmart to buy a liquid supplement called Cat Sure for senior cats. Tonight I fed him the only thing I could find it is a kitten substitute milk. The vet said let him eat whatever he wants, his problem is not his kidneys its his heart. For now it is his tooth.
He was thrilled to be fed with a little kitty baby bottle..I think maybe maybe not..He looked at me like are you nuts lady…LOL
