“If I Knew Then What I Know Now…” Redux – I Remain Confused

Astrology in real life

dancing_cigarettes.jpgThe comments on not reading or researching or paying attention in order to gather information that will spare a person saying, “If I knew then what I knew now”, were very interesting to me because it turns out I am outside the norm. I actually do listen to people when they are compelling and I respect them I almost always take their advice.

I can think of some exceptions. For example Henry told me I should not start smoking cigarettes and it took me eons to quit but by and large I have asked for advice and applied it for as long as I can remember and at this age this process is even more refined.

By now my filters are highly developed so I know where to go for good advice of whatever kind. For example if I am dealing with an Asian, I ask an Asian for advice. If I am having a boundary problem, I find someone with good boundaries how they would handle my situation and then I do exactly what they say, learning in the process so next time I won’t have to ask.

Does this make a me a monkey? I don’t think so.

I say staff your life with experts of all kinds and consult them frequently, Doesn’t hurt to become expert at something yourself of course. Ask the hair lady what to do with your hair. Ask the soldier how to defend your home.

Why in the world would a person not avail themselves of things like this? Saturn is in Virgo and I remain confused.

I rarely ask for advise: I am private. But when I do ask, I follow it. This hasn’t worked out very well for me, because I just ask my closest friends, and typically they have good natured bad advise.

I need to take your advise, get brave and ask some experts.

In total agreement.

If you learn who to ask for advice – your reference to filters above – why would you NOT take it? I agree with you

It just occurred to me that Aquarian gal in the story I just told, took good advice.

“Wear this, do this and don’t fall in this hole…”

Voila! Success!

I am heavy into researching things, but I do it on the internet. Multiple sources, read deeply, collate, repeat! I don’t like to interact all that much with actual living human beings, so this way works for me. Plus I love research, I’ve got a heavy 8th house.

Me too bew. I love to research. Aquarius in 8th, Uranus in Scorpio to credit?

I wish I could trust people to give me good advice, but I usually get undermined by the ones I trust enough to ask (except for Elsa). People see a vulnerability and they find a way to use it. So I don’t ask anymore, I just watch and learn, then apply what works to myself. A kind of advice by osmosis.
