What a fantastic approach to life. Your story–and outlook–remind me of an old co-worker. He was 45, and had lost 3 fingers in a farming accident when he was 13. He was given $10,000 compensation, which his Dad stole from him.
30 years later, he was at work as a bike messenger and rode by a duffle bag on a bench.
What was in it? $10,000. Cash. Some people would’ve turned it into the police, but he thought it was his long-lost injury money.
