Mercury in Aries vs Mercury in Libra With Mars Involved: Mice And Lemonade

lemonade“This is almost as devastating as the lemonade,” the soldier said last night. “I’ve got a woman who doesn’t like lemonade, she’s never had a tick and now I find out she’s afraid of a mouse!”

We were standing in the kitchen, and I stared.

“You mean to tell me I could put a sting of dead mice right here,” he said pointing at the floor, “I could stand on one side of it and say, booga booga and you’re not going to come across those mice and get me?”

“No. If you put a string of dead mice in front of me, between me and you, I will not come across it. Instead, I will go out the back right there,” I said pointing outside. “I will turn and go in the other direction, find me a man who doesn’t put a string of dead mice in front of me, what do you think of that?” I said with a smirky head cock

whirling-dervish-800px-jean-baptiste_van_mour_008.jpgWe were watching a movie and some old soldier was trying to converse about war at a dinner party. The man he was talking said something stupid and I told the soldier, “That’s how it is when you try to talk to me isn’t it?’

He blushed so I grinned.

“Now, P, you’re no idiot.”

Here Is Something Sobering: “Love Is Not Enough”

August 27th, 2008 @ 7:27 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

love.jpgThe soldier and I were talking about a young couple we know, concerned they might break up.

“You think they might? Don’t you think they love each other? Really love each other?”

“Yeah, I do. I think they do love each other but love is not enough.”

I stared.

“P, we loved each other. You couldn’t find two kids more in love than we were and it didn’t do any good. Love was not enough. You’ve got to have some maturity. People aren’t that smart when they’re young, they won’t listen to anyone and they’ve no idea what they are throwing away.”

pluto-shirt.JPGTam asks regarding Plutonian types

“But why is it necessary for Plutonians, Scorpio/8th house people to draw this exactly? It would help me to feel better about my life if I knew why I draw this shit from people.”

Plutonians are psychologically sophisticated. I don’t know why they are chosen for this job but I can tell you how they get that way.

While you are standing in the light, busy dumping all your crap on to me, I can see you real good.

In contrast, you can’t see me at all because I am standing in the dark, covered in your shit.

Now who do you think has the power?

Anyone else?

Pluto At The Hospital Today…

Astrology in real life

jessicarabbit.jpgSpeaking of lying still like a corpse, perhaps I can do it because I am a corpse. My blood pressure was 90/50 today, I have seen it as low as 80/50 and have no idea why.

My doctor who knows me well explained to the surgery nurses, “Elsa is in her lizard mode.” He went on to tell a story and you won’t believe this.

The guy has a great manner, he is just fantastic. He is in his late 60′s I’d say and married 41 years. He always has good energy and I mean always. I have been in there in the bleakest of times… he knows all about my daughter and he has always treated me incredibly well. “How ya doin’ little sister?” he asks as he stabs my back. “You hangin’ in?”

August 27th, 2008 @ 3:55 pm by Elsa

Ask the collective

virgoHere is a question for y’all, especially those of you who have been through situational depression. What helps the most? Just as importantly, what should be avoided?

Astrologically, I am talking about a Virgo Moon suffering a Saturn transit and feeling that now is forever.

Venus In Leo Clashes With The Tauri Over Shoes – Capricorn Mortified

August 27th, 2008 @ 2:44 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

rocket-dog-sole.jpg“What are those funny looking shoes?” the soldier asked, pointing at my new shoes sitting there.”

“Funny looking? What do you mean funny looking?” I got up to show his the hidden fun. “Guess what they say on the bottom?” I asked with my eyes wide. I flipped the shoe over dramatically. “Rocket Dog!” I said, showing him the purple lettering on the bright orange sole of the shoe. “How can you not be happy with that on your foot?”

The soldier snorted. “You’re crazy, P.”

Mercury Square Pluto… The Generally Flighty Lies Still Like A Corpse

August 27th, 2008 @ 12:26 pm by Elsa

Astrology in real life

evv-epidural.JPG“I have to get my back shot today,” I reminded the soldier this morning. “Stick a needle right in there,” I said pointing at my back. “5th vertebrate.”

“I’d rather be dead.”

“What? Rhinos don’t like it if someone comes up to them with a big needle going to stick in their back?”

“I’d tell them, I am leaving this hospital and then I’d do it. I’d rather die.”

“You know, it doesn’t bother me at all. I mean, I hope he doesn’t slip or anything, you ought to see me hold still. I lie still like a corpse.”

Would you be able to lie still while they shot your back? Or would you need sedation?

Open Question: How Did You Learn Astrology?

August 27th, 2008 @ 8:51 am by Elsa

Ask the collective

zodiacDear Elsa,

I was wondering how you learned astrology. Did you get any formal schooling? What do you think is the best way to learn more about astrology. How important is it to know all of the technical stuff like what specific degrees form a square? It seems like a whole lot of math…

Wondering

Wondering, I grew up around metaphysics and started studying astrology with my sister when we were 8 and 10 years old. My grandfather (Henry) had interest in astrology but felt it was too complicated for him to learn. He specifically said my sister and I might fare better and he thought it would be a good thing to learn if we could manage it. Long story short, we managed it. He bought us a few books and from there, we hit the public library.

As to the best way to learn, I have no idea. I was introduced to astrology so young it is damned near in my DNA but I bet others can help…
