“We were talking about that today on my blog,” I told the soldier. “I wrote about how gullible I am.”

“Gullible! You’re not gullible, P. Nobody pulls anything over on you.”

“Yes they do. People trick me all the time. These people write me and have me going in all kinds of directions. There is one gal out there who has tricked me repeatedly and elaborately for 6 years!”

“Oh, you mean online. Well that’s because you can’t see them. You can see them or hear the intonation in your voice because nothing gets by you, Panizzon.”

“Okay, that’s true. You’re right. Because when someone approaches to talk to me I already know what they are going to say before they get there. I am rarely surprised by anyone.”

“Uh huh, that’s right. P, you’re a quick as they come.”

“Always nice when it happens though. When someone does surprise me I like it.”

I would chalk this up with being able to read nuance on all levels which is just plain missing when it comes to online communication. In whatever case I thought I should post this to amend my earlier claim because he’s definitely right…
