Vidroid’s Quirky Aquarian Friend: It Starts In Childhood, Plus Meet Dora
Astrology in real life
You may recall that my 9 year old son (10 when he is at school) son, Vidroid has a quirky Aquarian friend. This boy has been prone to dumping Vidroid in the past and still does on occasion although the occasions have become far less frequent. Per their habit, the boys spend the day either here or at Aquarian’s house and I am talking a 10-hour day, every day but yesterday I got a surprise.
Aquarian got a new puppy and my son went over to meet the him. An hour later, Vid called to ask permission to borrow the dog (Maxxie).
“Borrow?” I asked.
“Yeah. He’s going to come spend the day and night with me so I can get to know him really well.”
I was dumbfounded. What person (or family) gets a new puppy and send it on a overnight to someone else’s house on day 2? “Does his mother know about this?”
“Yep! It’s his dog so he can do what he wants with him and he wants me to get to know him so can I, Mom? He’ll send me with food and his bed and everything we’ll need..”
What would you say? Maxxie spent the night last night and did not cry a bit as the soldier assured me he would. Today the boys are here, so is Maxxie and our dog, Lucky is tolerating this okay.
Good thing because the soldier’s blind, deaf and tooth missing dog, Dora, who he rescued from a war zone… smuggling her on a plane out of country is moving in on Saturday. Yep. Dora the flying dog is coming in this weekend and when she gets here, well then our family will be in tact.

Ha ha, Dan. You sound like the soldier. He said the dog would cry so they sent him over so they could get some sleep! ::snorts:: But the dog slept all night. Very sweet dog, not nervous like you’d imagine. I think they scored big time. Got a great puppy.
My Chihuahua is the most nervous, cry baby, ADHA dog in history. He’s a Gemini. Does astrology count for pets?? hehe.
I love him though.

“My mister Poe-Poe!! Come here wish your mommy!! Yes!! Come here boy!!”
Maxxie is 10 weeks old, so God help me, I have drawn another Taurus!! I have to say the dog is calm and does seem to have plenty of self esteem, LOL.
ADHD I mean.
Lucky You! Glad to hear everyone slept well.
My youngest son would just die from happiness if someone lent him a chihuahua. He used to tell people at the groom shop “No, I don’t have any dogs. Well I have three poodles but I want a chihuahua.”
Do you mean “Rochester?”
heart – not sure who you are addressing and not sure if I should be embarrassed by this fact.
The phrase “getting to know him” when talking about a dog just cracks me up! I imagine Vidroid and the dog at a table doing shots discussing Dostoyevsky or something…
What I find most interesting is this Aquarius boy.
Seems to me he really is expressing the beautiful essence of Aquarius with this gesture: Sharing the Dog.
And the fact Vidroid so willingly accomodates this energy, well, it makes me happy!
Smiles. this is a sweet story and I agree with Maureen. I was having the same thoughts and I couldnt have said it better myself
goddess – which kid? My son sees his father every weekend and his friends lives with both his parents and 3 sisters…
Also agree with Maureen re: a great expression of Aquarius energy.
i thought this friend was the one that his dad “might have to have an operation” and you ended up picking the boys up and keeping them overnight a while back without really knowing what was up with his dad…i haven’t been able to find the blog i’m talking about though…

One who owns a puppy that has yet to be house trained, just a guess.
