Astrology, Intelligence And The Metaphysical World
Astrology in real life
At some point last night I figured out the soldier’s son was smarter than the soldier and I and it was unnerving for a second or two. But then I realized we were still okay due our access to the metaphysical world. Astrology in my case, and the soldier has got his things… his way of being.
These things provide us unnatural or supernatural knowledge so we can still show up, plus while he is definitely smarter than either of us, I am not sure he smarter than the two of us put together.
Is this cool or what?
We each have our thing that is undeniable and deserving of respect. Even more importantly, we’ve got enough sense we can see the other person’s thing and step out of the way of it and there is a lot of glory in this. The kind of glory that humbles you.
Can anyone relate?

it took me a while to find a man who could be considered smarter than me. (screw false humility-i’m SMART!) actually, i’m not entirely sure who is smarter, but i don’t care. we’re peers and it rocks.
and the ability to step out of the way while someone else expresses who they are is another thing of beauty, and in my mind, a very pure act of love.
Um, yeah… well, I’ve learned the hard way with
my Pluto transit that when you try to compete with someone else’s smarts, it will bite you where it hurts. Thing is, I’m glad for the lesson, because I survived the hurt and realized how beautiful it is to let someone be, and more importantly, to let yourself be! Smart, and sometimes not..
once my brother and i realized that we were competing on the same playing field we became a lot more comfortable with each other.
or it may just have been me, as i realized he’s a mindblazing genius at math whereas i’m just really Da*n good, but i can communicate with the written word far better than he ever will be able to.
and, apparently, i’m good at translating things for engineers. (not from engineer speak, but into their mode of speaking….)
that and i figure everyone has their own genius somewhere if they’re allowed to find it. it may not show up on standardized test scores, and they may not have developed the ability to communicate it to many people, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
weren’t on the same field, that is….
I felt utterly humbled when my sister’s daughter, age 21, was accepted into a Ph.D. of pharmacology program at a great university. Organic chem and all that stuff…the kid is much smarter than me, book wise, gotta suck it up! (and be so very happy for her too!)
Doing one semester of law school was also extremely humbling, I have never seen so many C’s in my life. That was so devistating that I dropped out. Never mind that I didn’t study all that much, I never do, but cramming your way into A’s and B’s just doesn’t cut it in law school.
I love how you put this posting, Elsa, namely, that the access to supernatural knowledge changes the playing field by augmenting our brains, (and other kids of intelligence) maybe in ways that we don’t even really understand.
What a pretty bracelet…no idea where you find all this gorgeous astro-jewelry. Fun!
I can definitely relate to this.
Yeah, I love it when people are smart.
And yes, there’s nothing like school to make you feel stupid. As an adult going back to school, I have pretty high standards – so tests just show me what I don’t understand. Instead of feeling really good about the B that I got, sometimes I just find myself regretting that I didn’t get the A-.
I also agree with Maureen (post #3) I’m smart, and sometimes not…. Don’t we all have those blond moments, though?
Absolutely I can relate…you have no idea
Definitely cool. And I can totally relate — being known as “the genius” made (continues to make, actually) a lot of people uncomfortable around me, so I’ve learned how to find what someone’s good at, validate it, and reflect it back to them to help put them at ease. And it’s exactly what you said, step out of the way while someone else is shining. *grins*
Responsible uses of energy! w00t! *LOL* I have no idea where this comes from astrologically. . ..
Yes! Put all of our various abilities and gifts together, and that’s god.
