I thought I’d tell you what happened the first time Vidroid met the soldier.  It was stunning but first you have to know what happened the first time they talked on the phone.  It was about 8 months ago and I was mortified.

We were in the parking garage, I had both kids and I was taking my daughter to the doctor when the soldier called.  My daughter got on the phone  and chatted with him – They had already met. She’s a Gemini, he has Venus in Gemini so no problems.  My son asked to speak with him as well so I handed him the phone.

Vidroid called him by his first name and announced this:  “When I see you, I am going to beat you up. I am going to kick your ever-lovin’ butt,” he said.

That was literally his opening line. No hi, no nothing, I thought I’d die.  Instead I wheeled around with a look to kill.

‘What did you say to him? Give me that!”

I grabbed the phone from my son, apologized to the soldier for his behavior… apologized profusely and then hung up to deal with, Vid.

“Are you crazy? You don’t talk to adults like that? Where did you learn you could talk to someone like that?  What the hell were you thinking?!”

I gave him a lecture from hell because I have Capricorn for Godsakes. And Libra!  Can we have some f%%kin’ decorum around here? Some manners!  Talk about your unruly kids!

Vidroid was embarrassed and I got the idea he made a bad bet. You know. He tried to do something funny I guess but I didn’t back off. I told him he’d embarrassed me and he owed both me and the soldier an apology.

“Want me to treat your friends like that?” I asked.

Later I talked to the soldier who was in fact; taken aback He is not used to people telling him they are going to kick his ass and I think he was just befuddled. I really had no defense and months passed.

Finally Vid and the soldier were to meet and I’ll be damned.  Vidroid walked into the house (he’d spent the weekend with his dad), looked the soldier in the eye, climbed on top a chair in the living room, ripped off his shirt, put up his fists and said, “Come on! I told you I was going to kick your butt, let’s go!”

And he’s got this little sunk-in little boy chest. I think the soldier’s arm is as big around as Vidorid’s chest but in whatever case, the soldier started sparring with him and they have been getting along famously ever since.

Vidroid has Jupiter conjunct Mercury in Aries and he is not beyond boasting about his prowess and whether he has any or not is beside the point!
