Astrology Today – Foxholes vs Fighting Positions And Taking Comfort When It’s Offered
My eye on the sky
Today we have a Cardinal T-Square and a grand trine in Earth. The soldier has the same in his natal chart and is excellent at working with the energy so maybe you can apply one of his stories today.
He talks of being inordinately comfortable in a foxhole which he actually calls a “fighting position” because he says foxes dig holes they hide in and soldiers dig positions they can fight from but in whatever case, he gets in there with his blankets and some cocoa, maybe a small flashlight and something to read and he just relaxes.
That’s the grand trine in earth.
Then when anyone comes into his area… attempts to disturb him in his comfort, he fights like hell but until it happens – no worries in the world.
He said some girl soldier told him you sure look comfortable in their, Sergeant.”
“Well yeah? What do I have to complain about?”

Open Question: How Much Of What You Do Is Subconsciously Driven?
Ask the collective
It was at my Saturn return I really became aware of how unconscious I was of my own motivations. I have significant Capricorn so discovering this was harrowing. It was also horrifying because say what? What do you mean I’m not in control!? I better damned so be in control.
But I learned that not only was I partially being driven by my subconscious, I was primarily being driven by my subconscious and when I really came to know this as a fact, I made friends with the idea.
I realized I had navigated pretty damned well for someone who doesn’t know what they are doing which meant I did know what I was doing, it simply was not in my conscious mind. So now all these years later, if you know me you hear me say things like this:
“I don’t know what I am up to but I am obviously doing something…”
I also say this all the time:
“Let my subconscious take care of it, see what it wants to do. I am just not going to worry about that at all.”
I have learned to trust my subconscious implicitly because what else am I to do? I become conscious when and if and in my case if the when comes, it usually takes about 10 years for me to really understand what I have done and that is at best. 15 or 20 may be more realistic but anyway, here is my question:
See that graphic? I think that’s about right. I think 90% falls below the line in my case. But I want to know if others agree. Is it due a packed eighth house – so much depth it takes this long for things to surface or is the 90/10 thing universal?
Now This Kind Of Status Appeals: Neptune On The Midheaven Sounding Bitter Over Her Plight
Astrology in real life
I was just writing about my disinterest in popularity, however status of other types does appeal.
This conversation took place some months ago (5?) before the soldier moved to Colorado…
“P, you know that when we finally get together there will be no stopping us,” he said.
“No, I don’t know that.”
“Well I know that. Are you kidding me? I’ve never worked with someone so well in my life. I have never had a partner as good as you.”
“What do you mean?”
Speaking Of Commitment And Today’s T-Square…
Astrology in real life
Speaking of commitment on the last piece, I did it! I got advice written for next week and I changed that light bulb in the front of my house after more than 2 years of neglect.
Does this mean I will manage to keep broccoli out of my teeth and get back on the synastry videos?
I live in hope.
Astrology Today – Saturn’s In Virgo, Better Define My Thought Process Regarding Today’s Forecast
Astrology in real life
Miss Understood wrote on Lock Frozen Shut:
“I respectfully disagree. Perhaps were the t-square in FIXED signs one might assume a dead-lock or frozen shut case. This t-square however is in action oriented Cardinal signs suggestive of an impetus to overcome, break free and bolt.”
Des followed up:
“This brings up an interesting point. Why is it that the cardinal signs can be sooo darn much like you’de expect the fixed signs to be? Or how come they are so “locked up”? Is this a self evident kind of question?”

Past Lives And Love: A Reassuring Perspective
Astrology in real life
The current grand trine in Earth (calming) is conjunct the soldier’s natal grand trine in Earth. Couple days ago I called him…
“I had a question, it’s about love,” I said.
“Shoot.”
“You know how you think there is love out there for everyone? That there is one soul for every other soul?”

Astrology Today – It’s Locked And Oh Yeah, The Lock Is Frozen
My eye on the sky
The Moon square Uranus and the T-square between Venus, Mars and Jupiter is exact @ 21 Cardinal.
Sounds like:
I’M FED UP AND I’M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE to me.
Not that this will necessarily help. This thing with the Cardinal signs is pretty locked up but I guess it’s worth a try.
Open Question: Burning Bridges And Offering Apology Many Years After The Fact
Ask the collective
There is a discussion worth scanning on What Kind Of Person Tells Someone’s Secrets around whether or not it’s a good idea to apologize to someone for some betrayal or hurt inflicted many years prior.
Personally if someone had really jacked me up, I would appreciate an apology 10, 20, 30 40 or 50 years after the fact provided it was clean. Clean meaning the person just wanted to express their regret without expectation but there are exceptions to that.
Occasionally someone writes for advice about contacting a lover they dumped years ago. Invariably they are alone and getting older and while they claim to just want to apologize, it is clear that conscious or otherwise the person would really like the dumped party to come back and love them again. I think this is almost always a bad idea. The contact is rarely welcome and to me it seems very unfair. It’s very simple:
If you like your bridges, then don’t burn them and if you do burn them, then deal with it.
I can think of one person who I really ought to apologize to if not for the fact I think she’d be well advised to punch me in nose if I had the audacity to approach her. Yeah, I think I’ll just leave that debt for next life but I surely know I have incurred it.
Would you appreciate an apology 10 or 20 years after the fact or would you prefer to let sleeping dogs lie? Can you see your preference in your chart?
Writers Twisting Words: Do You Believe What You Read?
Ask the collective
The solider and I watched Zodiac
the other weekend. I don’t know why the movie was not well reviewed because we both liked it except for the obvious gross violence in the first quarter of the movie. But by and large the movie good in particular the acting was excellent. But there is a writer in the movie who become slimy. (Robert Downey Jr.) He’s spins information to sell papers. He sells his soul I guess you could say and the soldier has been harping on this lately. My writing.
“See, P. Those cops don’t want to talk to that guy because he’s the press and they know he’ll spin his words like you spin mine.”
