The soldier was in Indiana today briefly and he ran into someone who filled him in on the gossip going around the town he moved from which is several states away. The gossip concerns the two of us and I just laughed like hell.

Absolutely. Aries Mercury, and it’s in the 5th too so I’m loud to boot!
Talk about Merc in Aries! Work was upset by this massive news of two prominent people in my place of business getting arrested for…hanky panky streetside in the slums.

I love to gossip, NEVER maliciously, but just the juicy entertaining stuff. Even about myself.
I like to hear gossip (Mercury in Gemini, 9th house), but I don’t really spread it around.
People tend to tell me things that they shouldn’t. For example, one co-worker told me how much money she makes, another told me she is having an affair with her supervisor. I used the salary information to get a 10k raise, but I haven’t told anyone about the affair.
When I do gossip, I am VERY obsessive (in my own mind) about who-knows-who, and who is good at keeping secrets or not. So that it (hopefully) doesn’t get back to the wrong person. I don’t gossip to be mean, but rather to bring up juicy themes to talk about; as opposed to gossiping just to slander somebody.

gossip tends to not be high value enough to be worth babbling about. or it just seems… unsubstantiated and too often mean spirited.
Taurus Mercury…I hate gossip. I hear all of it though. Everyone I know knows me as a gate keeper of sorts (Scorpio MC). Furthermore, they think when I say “I don’t want to know” I’m pretending. Ahhhhh
