“I heard on the news this couple in Commerce City got arrested, P. They were arguing in public over which gang their kid should belong to when they grew up. They had a baby I guess and they were fighting it out and someone called the police who took them away.”

“Hmm.”

“Yeah, can you imagine? Which gang should your kid be allowed to join? What have we come to? I’d I was there, I’d have gotten right in on the fight. Know what I’d have said?

“What?”

“I’d have yelled out, APPLE DUMPLING GANG! PUT HIM IN THE APPLE DUMPLING GANG!”

I watched this recently with my wife and her mother. I had ordered it for my Mom-inlaw with some other movies on Amazon as she said that it was one of her favourites. I was enjoying the movie [but my wife not so much] and half way through the movie my mother in law said, ‘I don’t think I have seen this movie before’ Talk about….snort!

What have we come to? A long long way from the Apple Dumpling Gang.
