Earlier the soldier and I had talked about the trucker’s strike. We both agree the effort is unfocused. There is no agreed upon agenda, etc.

Later it came up again…

“So is it interesting today at least? People talking (on the cb) about protest?”

“No, hell no it’s not interesting. I’m a green beret. Don’t call me up with this shit!” he said loudly. “You don’t call a fuckin’ green beret with shit like this. What kind of shit is this? Call me when you are ready to motherfucking rock! Call me when you’re done with your bullshit and fuckin’ around with your head up your ass. Call me when you’ve done everything, the UN has done all their shit, you’re out of ideas and want the problem fixed. You call a green beret if and only if there is no one else on the planet who can do what needs to be done – that’s when you call me and until then don’t fuckin’ call me!
