neptuneDina quotes me on the Pisces Hook blog:

“we are both bullish on denial and the value of ignoring reality.”

And writes:

“Really? That’s surprising to me about you since you definitely tell it like it is to a lot of people who need help, lance the boil so to speak. Particularly hooked Pisceans who are kidding themselves! How does this play out in your astrology, if I may ask? Your Neptune has something to do with it, I suppose.”

Dina – I don’t think it has anything to do with Neptune. It has to do with boundaries. People ask me what I think and I tell them. I would never bother someone with my ideas or confront their denial otherwise. It is really none of my business what people do and if you read this blog it’s pretty clear I am focused on my own life and growth. I just don’t worry about what other people are doing right up until the hire me that is.

Hire me and I am on it but other than that I have waaaay too much respect for people to think that I know when they should face something. As far as I am concerned everyone has an inner clock. They have their own timing and their own agenda for their life which I am not even going to think about messing with, know why?

Because I am busy running my life of course.

How good are your boundaries

I have a lot, a lot of faults, but one thing I can say for myself is that my boundaries are awesome. So awesome in fact that I can say that mine have not been effectively violated in years. No one invades me because they know they will be met with a battle that I will win.

The only exception is my mother. She tries like hell to invade, but I’ve learned to non-aggressively defend my territory. I have Sun/Moon in Aries/Libra and hers is Capricorn/Cancer at the same degrees. Can you imagine? We menifest a grand cardinal cross every time we encounter each other. And she’s inconsistently medicated on top of all of that, so you can imagine what a loose cannon she is.

But you know, once I learned to master not taking her thermonuclear bait and how to manage the mental/emotional control demon that she is, I realized that there is no human being on this planet who has the power to send me spiralling into a tizzy. Except me, and that ain’t gonna happen.

My boundries have gotten a whole lot better over time. I don’t think that was a choice.

Wait wait, let me explain. I meant not that you go around telling other people to confront their denial. I mean, the way you right seems to be so up front, real, and raw when you tell about yourself or what you think, I can’t picture you indulging in denial/ignoring reality. What do you mean that you are bullish about the value of denial/ignoring reality? Maybe I misunderstood. Are you this way only about really painful events in your life, while in general you prefer to face the truth?

the way you *write*, I mean. You don’t strike me at all as a person that has no regard for boundaries, quite the opposite. I meant, you don’t seem to deny reality in your own life.

You talked about your writing style/not mincing words once, I remember, and said it had something to do with Mars/Saturn. It made it really hard for me to picture you being really girly and diplomatic because of all your Libra when you mentioned it.

I think that’s the same thing as calling Elsa ‘blunt’.

I’m pretty sure a blunt person can be in denial about one thing or another, and diplomatic people can be really on top of things.

The advantage of bluntness over diplomacy is in penetrating thicker skulls (‘OOOhhhhhhhh. That’s what he meant.’) and saving time.

Whereas people like diplomatic types. Particularly if they’re willing to lie a lot.

['Libra isn't always girly, merely considerate.']

Dina – I don’t think I am girly… what I am is oblivious.

Heh. I have no boundaries. My parents literally bulldozed over every boundary I tried to set growing up! I feel like a tiny mouse squeaking “No!” as the giant’s foot comes down on me whenever I try.
