I’m a year older than the poor girl and I can’t even begin to imagine what it’d be like to face something like that at this age. Kind of makes you question the what and whys of life. She, and everyone involved, has my deepest sympathies.

I wonder… is there anything we can do?
I happen to believe that compassion directed toward a person reaches them whether they consciously know it or not. 
I hope so, satori. Directing lots her way.

This is too difficult to comment on. I have an 18 year old son and when I imagine this happening to him, it is happening to me and everyone around him. I feel for the parents and I wish HER both spiritual and physical strength.
