I think the soldier is about as pure an archetype as you are going to find out there. Matter of fact when I post his voice alongside painting of Mars and look at how Mars is rendered in the paintings and am pretty sure if he could talk he would sound like the soldier. He’s the God of war after all.

“I don’t think he’d be saying things that at PC,” the soldier commented and I have to agree.

The soldier routinely says things that seem outrageous in the moment. But then some days pass or some months or even some years and I see a core truth in what he says. I think this must be due the pure expression of energy that exists in our culture and I’ll give you an example.

You can probably get him back but only for more of the same hot/cold/hot cold you are getting now. As for the initial intensity, I don’t think you will ever see that again and not necessarily because of something you did.

He sounds likes a player and you sound like the same. He’s hot, so you’re cold, and then he’s cold so you’re hot. What do you really want here because I think you’re getting it.

If you want something different… say, a love that is sincere, then you will have to stop ‘acting” and learn to just be.

The soldier on the phone tonight:

“Let me read these titles to you so I can make sure you’re getting the right thing,” I said. “Because you’re right this gal does not speak much English and… well you know it’s confusing so just check this out.”

I read the titles of these obscure fight training dvds and he got all happy. “Yeah, those are them.” He told me the history of this kind of fighting. ‘ am getting a little rusty and I want to brush up on this stuff.”

“What?  How come I told you those Knights of Columbus were looking at my ass and you said, good man.”

“Good man, I said and right after that, dead man! Better not be looking at my girl when I am there,” he said.

“Oh. Well no one is going to do that,” I said. “They won’t do that with you there.”

“And I won’t beat anyone up. I’m not going to beat anyone up, P. I’m just going to go in there, yellin’ outa the way with your bikini lines!  Hairy man comin’ through!”

Peels of laughter and much snorting.

I guess the soldier’s nemesis sensed the threat because he sent him to here to Denver for the weekend.

“I can meet you in Nebraska on the way here if you want,” I said. “We can stay there for one night and then follow each other back here.”

“Okay.”

“But if I do, I will not have a chance to grocery shop or anything else like that. I won’t be prepared to cook. I mean I just won’t have anything like that figured.”

“Well I’d rather see you as soon as I can and don’t worry about the grocery store. I’ll go to the grocery store with you, P. I don’t mind, it’ll be like old times. You can balance the bags on the back of the motorcycle,” he said.

Let’s say the ascendant is 20º Aquarius and the north node is 18º Aquarius. How would you interpret it because having a planet or a node in the 12th house is different from having it in the 1st house. Thank you very much!”

Conny, I have several planets on the cusps of houses and personally see them active in both houses. For example, I have Uranus on the cusp of the seventh and eighth house.

In western astrology the south node, it’s house and sign describes what you are inordinately good at expressing and manifesting in your life. In contrast the opposite point, the north node, it’s house and sign represents what you should incorporate to progress in this life.

Speaking of the soldier’s challenge of manifesting his seventh house north node in Libra, I also have my north node in the seventh house. This means with our south nodes in the first house, we are both very comfortable acting independently in spite of our desire for relationship.

I have Venus in the seventh house, which is definitely going to want to partner and the soldier has Libra (Venus) in the seventh which puts him in a similar situation.

We are currently trying to work this out and I don’t mind saying that while we may love each other very much it is a great strain and struggle. So what about you?
